...the Glinda note where she says today-ay!!! Like, that list "ay". My friend was wondering and I'm not familiar with music notes and stuff like that. Thanks
That note is known as a "High-A" and is pretty much right at the top of the soprano range (Being just above the stave - a "line" above if you wish). It is the note, two notes under the "C", two octaves above middle "C". lol. Make sense?
Oops. Double Post.
Thanks my friend appreciates it! She just hit it for the first time

The top note is a C6, and if you're lucky, F6!!!!!

Hilty occasionally did the F6 which sounded like the most divine thing ever to be heard.
Yeah, I know I know the "hilty note"

Hilty's last note is incredible.

I don't know if the video still remains posted on that site, I know I already saved it to my computer, of a compilation of her hitting that note at various points in the show and various dates. Superb!

Oh, believe me, I've seen/heard them. And I saw her back in the summer of 05 with Shoshana. Love those two...I got to meet her, actually! But I think she lost a lot of weight recently, which makes me sad because she was fine before

Of all the times I've seen Wicked and it's various casts, Hilty impressed me more than Chenoweth, Thompson, and Bundy.

LA'll do that to ya.
Yeah, I know. It's just depressing.

in that youtube video of megan, i am OBSESSED with the way she sings the line " there are bridges you cross you didnt know youve crossed until youve crossed " going up on until, thrilling, and yes i have seen her hit an even higher note at the end of thankgoodness
bump
Kristin Chenoweth also hit the "Hilty Note" (F6) a few times during her run as Glinda. I know for a fact there was one show where she hit the high note at the end of "No One Mourns the Wicked" and "Thank Goodness."
When I saw Hilty closing night Seattle, I'm sure she hit the f6 in both songs.. needless to say.. jaw was on the floor...
