Now it's Man of LaMancha....(lucky to see it over 13 times and counting)....lolol
Recent-Dance of the Vampires-only got to see it twice
Old-The original Grease. It must have been my first broadway show, and I just loved it. I think I went once a week during the entire run! (tickets were around $10-$20 then).

It's a toss up for me. It used to be "Gypsy" simply because it is a flawlessly crafted piece of theater. But now, "Les Miz" is right up there as one of the most emotional evenings I have ever spent in the theater. Of course, I have seen it numerous times!
I have seen five musicals and I LOVED them all! I seen 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast, Millie, Gyspy and I seen Chicago on tour. I LOVE Millie because Sutton is SOO good! And the plot and the cast and the coutumes are all GREAT! Plus I love all of the songs! I LOVE Chicago because its funny, and the songs are the best! Plus it has a funny plot! I LOVE Gyspy because I think this is the most professial play that I have seen! Cause normally there is one or two people that can't sing as good as someone else, but I feel that with Gyspy! Even the kids blew me away!

Aida was my favorite show. When I was a child, I saw Fiddler O The Roof and I was completey thrilled...but that was so long ago.
Someone mentioned Bat Boy (I loved that show!!!!) Why doesn't it count?
When we have a question about best performance in a show, I'd nominate Jefferson Mays for "I Am My Own Wife."
My favourite musical is Les Misérables, I've seen it on stage once, and I've seen the Student Version once as well.

My favorite is PHANTOM OF THE OPERA because it holds great memories for me (being the the show that got me liking musicals). But, here is my list of the positive favorites:
1. Phantom of the Opera
2. RENT
3. Jesus Christ Superstar
Everything else changes all the time.
Why did this thread need to be revived??
So many of the posts on here depress me to NO END!
I'm gonna jump.
Come back from the ledge, robbie. I have fresh baked cookies and endless supply of alcohol for you if you come towards me.
Stop laughing about DotV...the German version is great really! at least it has a STORY, don't wanna name a few musicals that don't and really are pretty successfull!
But WICKED is definitly no 1 concerning music, each song is just perfect and you can listen to the CD all the time.
I really liked LIL Shop and A NEW BRAIN,too!!!
Spidey,
Oh how you care!!! And how did you know the only two things that could pull me back are cookies (chocolate chip, I hope...still warm??) and alcohol???
You are a true friend.
Of course Chocolate Chip and they just came out of the oven. All for you
