When I was young My favorite Musical was Wicked. It was the first Broadway show I ever saw and I was instantly hooked on theatre after seeing it. Then a few years after that i went through my Rent Head phase. I would watch a bootleg of the show every day online. I even got to see the tour when it came to my city. I matured and grew out of that phase and recognized the greatness that is Les Miserable. Currently Les Mis is my favorite show with Next to Normal being a very close second.

My favorite musical is The Phantom of the Opera. I love the music and the story. It was the first West End musical i saw and since then I've been to London twice a year for seeing other musicals.

Depending on the day, I go back and forth between A Chorus Line and Les Miserables.

Hedwig is up there as well as Grey Gardens though

Im 18. But I don't think age dictates taste for me. I have always been fascinated with wicked and rent but i would always watch The into the woods dvd and cabaret and more adult themed shows when i was younger.

I have to disagree that your age dictates your taste in musicals, I'm 17 and I'm not obsessed with Rent, Spring Awakening or any of those "hip" shows. I much rather see MFL or Carousel over Next to Normal or Bare.

Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Assassins, Gypsy, Hair and the list goes on.

For the last few weeks, I have been listening to "Bonnie & Clyde" and the demo recording to "Edges" more than others.
