what about "Mr. Goldstone?" It isn't a company number, but it has all the company on stage and is a silly fun song. Could provide a few laughs to the Tonys.

I would think they would go for one of the more signature songs from the show. That said, they're probably gonna go with Everything's Coming Up Roses.

They'll probably do Rose's Turn, but I'd love it if they did Together. All three of the leads are showcased, and it's such a fun number.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

How about a medley. Benanti sings "Little Lamb" while LuPone watches on...then she gets mad and busts out some "Rose's Turn"

C'mon now, don't think they'll have time for medleys when they have to spare precious time for filler!

I think Patti should sing, "I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts".

They should get all past and present Broadway divas to sing 'Rose's Turn,' alternating every line.
Bernadette Peters: Here she is, boys!
Patti Lupone: Here she is, world!
Angela Lansbury: Here's Rose!
Donna Murphy: Curtain up!
Audra McDonald: Light the lights!
Victoria Clark: Play it, boys!
Faith Prince: Ya either got it, or ya ain't.
Chita Rivera: And, boys, I got it!
Chrstine Ebersole: Ya like it?
Elaine Stritch: Well, I got it!
And so on and so forth.

I think "Together Wherever We Go" would be great too.
I think so, as well. I would say that it was a highlight, but everything was a highlight in that show.

Thing is the way they are advertising the show focusing on LuPone and not on the show, they are clearly gonna want to do a big Momma Rose number, whether it is the best way to sell the show or not remains to be seen. Last year, the GREY GARDENS crew made what in my eyes was a mistake, they let the show become too much about Christine Ebersole and so they had her perform a number that was completely inappropriate out of context. The songs from GYPSY are of course easier to perform outside the show and "Rose's Turn" is obviously a big showcase for a female actress, but I'm just not sure that it is the number that eventually translates into more tickets sales. "Together Wherever We Go" is fun, shows off the great chemistry between Benanti, LuPone and Gaines, and it may attract the tourists. I hope it is considered though LuPone may not want to do an ensemble number when all the other Roses have gotten their big solo turns.

Clearly, the answer to this question SHOULD be:

AND I AM TELLING YOU...

Good point about Grey Gardens.
Think how fun five fifteen would have been on the Tonys.

If this wasn't "Patti LuPone Gypsy" (not that I'm complaining at all, I'm so psyched) and just "Gypsy" it'd be sick if they did "You Gotta Get a Gimmick" avec Marilyn Caskey.

I think they should perform Some People or Together We Go
What about You gotta get a gimmic that's one of my favorite
songs from the show.

I must say this has crossed my mind, too. She is probably going to do "Roses Turn". And I don't think it is an insult in any way to Bernadette, but perhaps the draw of it is diminished by having just seen one at the Tonys a few years ago. "Everything's Coming Up Roses" is a big possibility, I think.
That said, they are advertising this show as a chance to see Patti Lupone in Gypsy. So, the number will be a showcase for Patti. I'm betting "Roses" at this point.

If all 3 are nomintaed, I bet they'd do "Together."

I think it should depend on how is nominated, Patti & Boyd- Small World, All three- together, Patti- Rose's Turn or Some people, If none of them get nominated and the show does, They should do Gotta Get a Gimmick with Patti as Mazeppa, Boyd as Tessie, and Laura as Electra.
