I don't think I will get much sleep tonight. I keep having these awful flashes where Idina shrieks and screams her way through "People". Yikes!

hmm.. I recall that in one of the RENT interview videos froma a while back idina was saying that she used to come on here and check it out occassionally, but that she stopped because people could be so hurtfull and that it wasn't worth it. Now, I wonder what on EARTH she could have been talking about... *ponders*

(for the record, I'm not just defending Idina- I'm just saying that in general its very very rude to bash people, and I'm hoping to remind people that even broadway stars probably DO occasionally get curious and come on boards like these- so PLEASE be respectful. Heck, it shouldn't even really matter if they see it or not- in general, its just nice to be respectful. If you dont like someone, thats perfectly fine, but PLEASE do not go making snide remarks about them for no other reason but to get others angry)
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I hope they transfer the Goodspeed version of Pippin that will close soon, and is going on a small tour. Fantastic cast.

Yeah...it would be nice if the actors/creatives felt they could come on here, but I don't blame them in the slightest for avoiding it. Of all the boards on which I've ever posted, this can be the most cruel.

I'd love to see Steph in FUNNY GIRL. Amazing. I'd like to see her in EVITA, as well. And give Patti LuPone another good vehicle, while you're at it!

I'd also like to see some Sondheim...and take it on TOUR, for pete's sake, so those of us who can't easily get to the big theatre cities have a chance! I'm depressed that SWEENEY closed before I could see it (just one of the MANY trials of living in Florida).

Well, one of the actors(who plays Lewis and has begun understudying Pippin), James Royce Edwards has said that the tour will be stopping in places that key investors may see the show. There's still hope! As long as my boy stays with the show, I'll be a very happy camper.

My list?
1, Godspell
2, Sound of Music
3, Urinetown
4, Take Me Along (original 1959 book)
That would be a good start

No, Funny Girl just isn't necessary. I mean, no hate or disrespect to anyone, but that's just Barbara's role and I really can't imagine anyone in it besides her. The casting of that role is pivotal, since that show is nothing without a great Fanny.

I've always loved Bye, Bye Birdie, and that would be fun to see revived.

Exactly, Funny Face. That is Barbra's role. "People" is her song. Personally, I think her performance as Fanny Brice is one of the greatest performances of all time. I don't want to see anybody attempt that role again.
