What about Linda Eder as Fanny Brice?
Into the woods---a GOOD revival. not that watered down happy ever aftery thing they put out there a few years ago.

Tom Stoppard's Travesties!
1. "Funny Girl" (with Stephanie J. Block -- no one else can play that role. It belongs to her.)
2. "Bye Bye Birdie" (No updating. No no no. It would loose so much of it's charm.)
3. "A Little Night Music" (with Patti Cohenoer (sp?) as Desiree.)
4. "Lost in Yonkers"(I need to play Louie!)
5. "West Side Story" (with Twyla Tharp choreographing.)
Evita- Very Good Score
Hair- I Just Want To See What It Would Look Like
Tommy- Saw The Movie, Very Interesting

Pal Joey.
Funny Girl. Shoshana Bean would be great as Fanny Brice.
Chess
A new brain
Falsettos
CARRIE.
There's a lot of work to be done, especially with the high school scenes. . I just think the mother/daughter stuff was amazing, and deserves a good show to be put back into.
Jacob.
I've probobly posted on this thread already but I'm too lazy to check back
West. Side. Story.
The End.
WEST SIDE STORY
maybe Laura Benanti as Maria..
Linda Eder can sing, but she can't act. So she'd be no good for Funny Girl...too old too.
I'd say West Side Story too, but it needs to be done away from the Robbins staging. But his estate will never let that happen.
I'd love to see Pippin be brought back to. The Goodspeed production looks interesting. I worry though, because Fosse made an otherwise weak show(flop) into something worth watching and with his touch gone from the show, it's cracks will probably be quite obvious.

Carrie - Reworked.
The Mystery of Edwin Drood - Maybe a revival will make them re-issue the OBCR!!!
Two Gentlemen of Verona - Another Best Musical that has sadly been stuck in a dark corner.
Funny Girl - Good show, and it needs to be preformed more (and yes, that does mean w/o Barbra)
Its a Bird!; Its a Plane; Its SUPERMAN! - Maybe not a commercial revival, but a good show that has the capability of pulling in non-theatre goers if given a chance
Carnival - Another good show in need of more exposure
The Secret Garden
Chess - One of many that just needs a good book and a revival
Cinderella [R&H] - It would be soo cool to see this finally make it to Broadway
South Pacific
Bye Bye Birdie
Milk and Honey - A very good Herman show, not a flop, but forgotten, it needs to be preformed again.
Hello Dolly! - Not right away, but we need to see it without Carol Channing, lest it suffer the same fate as Funny Girl.
MAME
Dear World
Mack & Mabel - One of the good books needs to make it to New York so this show can finally take a rock-firm place amoung the great pieces of musical theatre.
The Grand Tour
But I also total agree with new pieces [hopefully some penned by me!]. But revivals are amazing where in if they are done right, they can add more shows to the Broadway canon just like a new show can. So more new shows, but a few revivals are important too.
Chess, Evita, I would really like to see kiss of the spider woman, too... oh and 1776... And sunday in the park w/ george (especially a john Doyle version)
oh, and stop the world! I want to get off...

The Last Five years- ON BROADWAY.Sherie and Norbert. I would go see it, not sure who else would,(meaning non-theatre community people) but I would like to see it done for more than a couple of months.
I also would like to see Oliver! or The Sound Of Music. With a good cast. I'd like to see some unknowns!

What are the chances of a Carnival revival? Was the Encores staging well received?
