Peter and the Starcatcher and End of the rainbow
Picture a handsome heroicly charismatic
Plain spoken know-nothing
Skirt chasing cocky little son of a-
Lie down with dogs and you wake up with
A raise and a promotion.
So he's a flirt, a complete ego maniac
The fact is he's also the face of the strike
What a face
Face the fact that's a face that could save us all from
sinking in the ocean.
-Katherine (Newsies)
Superboy and the Invisible Girl
Everything a kid oughtta be
He's immortal, forever alive
Then there's me
I wish I could fly
And magically appear and disappear
I wish I could fly
I'd fly far away from here
-Natalie (Next to Normal)

1.) Wit - Cynthia Nixon was astounding. Sobbing. Just sobbing.
2.) Other Desert Cities - A top-notch cast.
3.) The Normal Heart in D.C. - Patricia Wettig should do more stage work. Wonderful.

Forgot it was this year. The best thing I saw was the final Broadway performance of Billy Elliot, January 8th. Four actors rotating in and out of the title role. It was really great. Whole cast was terrific. That show should still be on Broadway.

New York: “Melancholy Play” put on by 13P. For strictly Broadway, “Bring it On.”
Chicago: “Good People” at Steppenwolf.
