When did TDF prices go up to $38.50?

Very recently, it seems. I bought a ticket to Sondheim on Sondheim last week and it was still $36.50. Their prices have been steadily on the rise for the last five years.
Plays are up to $34.50 now, too.

Also, I noticed they're now instructing you to print out confirmations and bring them to the box office with photo ID. When did that start?

I usually always bring my printed confirmation paper with me--started doing it after an incident where the theatre lost my reservation and I had to go into the theatre's box office, use their computer and show them my account--and am almost never asked to proffer it. The only exception is MTC, which always asks for either a confirmation paper or ID.

Denzel: $20 million a movie, genuinely loves the theatre. He doesn't do plays for the money.
