Very recently, it seems. I bought a ticket to Sondheim on Sondheim last week and it was still $36.50. Their prices have been steadily on the rise for the last five years.
Plays are up to $34.50 now, too.

Posted: 6/16/10 at 2:33pmI usually always bring my printed confirmation paper with me--started doing it after an incident where the theatre lost my reservation and I had to go into the theatre's box office, use their computer and show them my account--and am almost never asked to proffer it. The only exception is MTC, which always asks for either a confirmation paper or ID.

3. Fences is a highly recognizable play
4. Fences is dirt cheap to run, one set, small cast
5. The producers are charging regular Broadway prices for this run
