I was just thinking today...
There are a lot of shows that have not announced theaters yet, and there are not many, nearly no theaters left. They are all filled up for the fall. Like, where will Speed the Plow or American Buffalo play??
I was thinking about that the other day and the only theater I could think of that was going to be free was the Kerr, but that was before The Seagull was announced. I don't see either one of those shows going into the Marquis, which I think is the only vacant theater without an officially announced tenant. Something along the lines of Xanadu, the 39 Steps or Passing Strange closing would have to happen for those shows to have a theater. Plus, I think the Belasco is due for a renovation once Passing Strange closes, so that's one less theater.
I know. And I don't think 39 Steps is going to close in time for something to open at the Cort for the fall.
Yes, The 39 Steps is doing quite well, so I doubt it will be closing any time soon.
I thought that Speed The Plow was headed for The Booth.
Dividing the Estate opens at the Booth on November 20.
Then what is going into the Royal after the run of Country Girl is over? I know that there were rumors of 13 going there but has anything been confirmed about that yet?
The rumor is 13 for the Jacobs, but it has not been confirmed as of yet.
I suppose if Speed-the-Plow or American Buffalo are real, what would stop those shows' commercial producers from partnering up with Roundabout to present one of those shows as the inaugural production at the new Henry Miller's Theatre this fall?

What's going into the Nederlander after Rent?
Also what about where Chorus Line is?
The Schoenfeld (Chorus Line) is getting All My Sons. No word on what is happening at the Nederlander after Rent.

I suppose Reasons to be Pretty will take one of the 45th Street theaters in January.
Speed the Plow has announced a cast and that it is going to open this fall. Speed the Plow I gather given some of the names that have been cast will be a limited run. Is there no way that it can go into the Jacobs for the fall and then give the stage hands time to clear out the theatre and set it up for 13 if in fact the rumors are true that it is going to go the Jacobs.
Coolkid, if you actually take time to read this forum as often as you post you would know that the Nederlander is getting a much needed renovation after Rent closes and that The Schoenfield sp? home to A Chorus Line is going to house the revival of All My Sons.

Where is Godspell going? Perhaps Nederlander?
Godspell is going to the Barrymore
13 is also supposed to be a fall opening (previews in September, opening in October). Playbill.com has it listed for the Jacobs, but I'm not aware of any news stories that have actually confirmed it.

Shrek's going to the Broadway.
And I think one of the producers said in an interview with Playbill that 13 (or perhaps Brown) will go to the Jacobs.
Meanwhile... where is Vanities going?
I assume VANITIES will want a small theatre... Maybe the Helen Hayes after XANADU closes? The Hayes seems like a good fit for it.

Ah OK. I was in the Broadway already. I saw Miss Saigon there.
No one has heard where Speed the Plow is going?
"I suppose Reasons to be Pretty will take one of the 45th Street theaters in January. "
I'm thinking Music Box or the Kerr for that show.
"Speed the Plow I gather given some of the names that have been cast will be a limited run. "
Um... Only one of the three characters in this show have officially been cast.
