What male or female actor
on or Off Broadway
is your raison d'etre (reason for being)?
(We overlook inartful psychobabble terms like "obsession" here.)
Let it out...you know you want to tell!

Yeah, baby.
I could watch Audra McDonald have irritible bowel syndrome onstage and still call it Tony-worthy.

Remind me to invite you to every pseudo-classy thread I start, bwaysinger. You add such internal visuals.
Ryan Duncan

my favorite by far............

Always helpful to include their name to cue in poor unfamiliar souls.
John Cameron Mitchell.

Norbert Leo Butz and Sutton Foster. They're not just my favorite actor/actress, they're my total inspiration and reason to keep acting.

or maybe....

Who'll continue to be underappreciated unless you identify her...

and i will never get over her....never.
I don't know about Raison d'Etre, 'cos I would certainly continue to exist if he didn't, but I can confidently state that the world would be a far emptier place without Norbert Leo Butz.

At the moment -- Cerveris and Lupone.
But only because I'm waging a war within myself about going to the final show of "Sweeney Todd". I want to, but do I need to...

Ah, Stagedoor2, the true raison d'etre battle...
You should go for those of us who can't. I've never seen it once. See it again, one last time, for me. ;_;
Or something. XD

Well, since you asked so nicely Weez -- sure I'll go see it for you
.
I'm giving myself to the end of the week to make my decision. It does involve airfare and hotel in addition to the theater ticket (or tickets, becuase I'd have to see something else as well, because who would go all that way for one show?).
Food or Michael Cerveris?
Rent or Patti Lupone?
Tough decisions...

Well, my favorite people on Broadway are always changing, but right now, I'd have to say:

Nathan Lane. Period. There are just so few people who understand comedy like he does. His wit and versatility inspires me in so many ways...

Ian McKellan - he is truly amazing.
I would also like to 2nd Ian! Have you seen his Macbeth?
