I always thought Piazza was money well spent, every time I saw it.
What show do you merits the price of its ticket and how much did you pay?
Any show you think is worth it out there that I should go see?

If Brad Oscar is still playing Max you should go see The Producers.

the last 2 shows i saw that were worth the $$ were Doubt and The Pillowman.

I was comped seeing "In The Wings" and I walked out feeling like somebody owed me money for having sat through that crap.
I suppose it depends on your taste and mood (I'm Spamalot obsessed, and there are those on this board who wouldn't go if they received a free ticket!)

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It is an amazing and hilarious show.It is defitntely worth the $$ while John Lithgow and Sherie Rene Scott are in the cast.
DRS and Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee, DRS, and Spamalot. Granted, I'm a little biased toward Spamalot, because I was 'the seat' of the night. =)
But Spelling Bee. Homigosh!
Don't get me wrong; I love the theater. But personally, I think $100 is ridiculous for ANY show.
It certainly helps if the show is non-stop entertainment, but still...it's a bit steep.
Doubt, Sweet Charity and Spelling Bee. I got discounted tickets for all of them (Between 50 & 65 bucks) Would have paid full price for all of them. Saw DRS...glad I got them at TKTS. Didn't think it was worth full price. Paid full price for Wicked (both in New York City and Denver). I am not obsessed with the show, but it is worth the price of admission.
i'm really sorry to say this, but here it goes...wicked...i saw it in march 2004...that was the last time i paid $100 for a show...totally worth it.
i am not obsessed with it either, just thought it was worth my 100 bucks. i *am* obseesed with Carrie and Bring Back Birdie...and for that I should probably be committed. LOL

Light in the Piazza. I think Wicked is very over rated. I paid $100 for a seat. Granted, Idina Menzel was gone, but I found it to be boring & trite. I will say that Megan Hilty was a great Glinda. (although I didn't see Ms. Chenoweth, either)
I saw Spelling Bee last weekend by winning the lottery. I promptly came back and ordered tickets (at full price, mind you) to take my students in a couple of months. It's steep, but I keep telling my kids it's worth every penny. Fortunately I've been able to fill a bus - I can't wait to see it again!
The Light in the Piazza didn't leave me wanting for anything. Money very well spent!!!
I saw Wicked my first time with Idina Menzel and Jennifer Laura Thompson and was fortunate to get lotto seats === But, I would have paid $100. I have not seen Megan and Shoshana so I can't say if its worth $100 with them, but the show is amazing.
I am a huge Wicked fan as well (don't hurt me!) I was fortunate to see Idina twice with JLT which was just unbelievable but I have seen Sho as well and she really was great.
I also will always say that RENT is a must see as well as DRS and Spelling Bee. Wicked and Spelling Bee are right next to each other, why not see both! :)
Rent: Amazing show, wonderful message, and a great musical. The movie will be awesome as well, but it does not compare to seeing on stage (but go see the movie too!).
Spelling Bee: Hilarious, wonderful sets, and who knows, maybe you'll get to go on stage.
DRS: Had me rolling on the floor, absolutley hilarious. And you cannot beat that cast (norbert anyone?).
Phantom, DRS, Spelling Bee, Avenue Q, and Wicked.

DRS - paid $66.25 for it. Not sure if it is worth $100 but I did enjoy the show.
Wicked - absolutely worth the $100 ticket price, even with the current Bway cast.
Avenue Q - great show. Worth the ticket price
Phantom - Got tickets for $55 but I would have paid $100 to see it
Rent - Had lotto seats every time I've seen it but I wouldn't pay $100 to see it right now. With the orig. Bway cast I would...
I've gotta toss in another Wicked. Aside from loving the show, it was the first show I'd seen in a while where I felt like I truly got my money's worth.

Piazza...
BUT, the one show that I would see again at full price would have been The Pillowman (I mean, I used a discount the first time and student rush the second, but it was still worth 100 bux).

I'll add my vote for Piazza. I'd pay extra to see it again.
Altar Boyz was also well worth the expenditure. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the ears (but mostly for the eyes).

Is Jersey Boys worth the bucks?
What show is worth its ticket?
Wicked with Shoshanna and Megan was definetely worth my $100!! and RENT is always worth any price.
I usually pay full price anyway. Recently, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which runs 2 hours and 40 minutes with the best talent, costumes, settings etc. is the best and funniest I have seen in a long time. Sweet Charity, Spelling Bee, Wicked, Spamalot are definitely overated.
