Ah! And I love the now out-of-print limited edition of the OBCR of FOLLIES that Bruce Kimmel did several years ago. Beautiful remastering!!

American Psycho. I agree, ChiTheaterFan. I can't get it out of my system. It's just so different.
She Loves Me. I have to partly rescind what I said on the SLM recording thread about this orchestration vs. the 90s version. I think I'm liking THIS one a little better the more I listen to it. So sprite, playful and engaging.
Bright Star. Fantastic!
On the Town. I'm in love with Tony Yazbeck.
The King and I (90s version)…..Jose Llana….what can I say. For me, he kills "I Have Dreamed" in a way that others haven't. He does the same for "Like a God" and "You are Beautiful" in Flower Drum Song.
Light in the Piazza. I think Passeggiata is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

They actually are Cast Recordings, soundtracks are recordings of movie scores, even though iTunes, Spotify and most music streaming services erroneously label cast recordings as soundtracks as well.

Hamilton, almost daily, but I did give the soundtrack world a repeat listen this past week when I played West Side Story in tribute to the wonderful Marni Nixon.

I never had listened to and didn't see the original The Color Purple. I cannot stop playing the revival cast of this show. It is absolutely exilerating and I never have dry eye at its conclusion. Kudos to this cast for introducing me to such a wonderful show!
