givesmevoice, if there's any R&H show that Leigh Ann Larkin is perfect for, it's SOUTH PACIFIC. She'd surely be an excellent Nellie Forbush.
In regards to R&H shows that should be revived on Broadway, the current London revival of THE SOUND OF MUSIC is absolutely marvelous.
If they were to bring it over here with original star Connie Fisher (who is probably the only good thing that will have ever come from a reality t.v. casting show,) it would be a real treat for New York audiences.
I'm actually rather surprised Andrew Lloyd Webber hasn't already expressed interest in a transfer, with it being such a commerically appealing property (though he
has openly discussed the idea of wanting to use Fisher in a potential West End revival of FUNNY GIRL.)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
