I don't think it matters either way, because if Sherie delivers the same caliber of performance on Broadway as she did Off-Broadway, it will be the best performance by a lead female this season. She will deserve the Tony regardless of her previous theatre experience.
Definitely a happy birthday to Mr. Sondheim! I couldn't possibly pick a favorite, but I can pick my favorite song of his that not many other people seem to love. For me that would be "Chrysanthemum Tea".
I, too, hope that Victoria Clark sings "Losing My Mind" and would love to hear her "In Buddy's Eyes" again as well. I'd also like to see Marin Mazzie & Jason Danieley sing "Happiness" and Donna Murphy do "Could I Leave You?"
I have never left a show...and there was only one time when I really wanted to. I wanted to leave at intermission of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" so bad, but my friends convinced me to stay.
I just got around to seeing this for the first time tonight, and I really enjoyed the production. Its a shame its closing so soon, but I think it was just a bad time for this production to come along. I really hope Bobby Steggert is remembered come Tony time.
I'm absolutely in love with "My Husband Makes Movies" I can't wait to see it on the screen. I didn't mind Kidman's "Unusual Way" at all, I think she did a pretty good job. Sure its better in the original key, but oh well.

I've been waiting for a clip of "My Husband Makes Movies" for seemingly ever now...absolutely loved Cotillard's delivery. Can't wait to see the whole thing!
