Which seats should I choose for AMERICAN IDIOT?

Ok, so I have two seating options for AMERICAN IDIOT

Which seats should I opt for?

Left Orch Row D 3-7 or Right Orch A 4-8?

Either one. They're both close enough to the center that you won't miss anything.

Seriously? Wow, awesome.
One of my friends told me to avoid right at all costs since alot of actions are there. As well as that the stage is also high (I'm 6'5 so it's no issue)

I've sat in A10 before, the seat next to A8. It was sold as a partial view seat and for $37 to me. It was great to be close, however there were definitely some action to be missed. I'm sure A6 and A8 are better, however not for full price, or even anything more than $37. Can you find seats further back and more centered? The mezzanine at the St. James is amazing, and actually a much better view.

I have a discount code from my friend that is valid through 1/30/2011, so those are discount seat options (I never ever play full :P).

There are no centra orchestra seats offered on the discount (except last row)

I'd go with row D. You will be more comfortable and be able to view more of the stage.

I'd actually try looking even a little further back if you can. This is one of those shows that you can be too close.

Left orchestra isn't very good. You might be okay in those seats because of how close to center they are. But when I sat in row D a bit further in, I couldn't see a lot of the action that happened on stage left.

Pick the right, the left means you have the couch block you at points and the right doesn't.

I agree that the right side is better. A lot more happens on the left that is easy to miss if you are on that side.

Go with right orchestra, you'll miss much less. The only thing you might not be able to see is St. Jimmy's entrance, but that's really it. The left orchestra might have a similar view, but it's still a risk because the left side is blocked heavily by the couch/Will's TV. When I sat in row D, I couldn't see Whatsername's window, the upstage door, the beginning of Holiday, and a few other things. I've heard only good things about righto rchestra.

The only thing you could possibly miss on the right is St. Jimmy's entrance, but the tv screens onstage show it, so you really aren't missing a thing. Right would be way better than left.

I just bought Row D Seat 1 (Left). Yours are the 3 next to that. They are almost on the aisle. They should be great I don't see how you would miss anything. There is a lot going on so I think further back is better for this show. Last time I saw from Row F 111 (Center).

i've seen the show from all over that theater. row D definitely.. but the discount code should work for the mezz.. try using it.. if not go to broadwaybox.com.. i sat row G center with the discount and the view was perfect

Sorry I'm being obsessive about my seating. It all stems back to when my Mom got me tickets to ROCK OF AGES, she opted for left orchestra and about 20% of the show was obstructed and just hate when that happens.

I think I'm going to opt for the right orchestra since many people say the left is a more of a gamble than the right.

(I'm not worried about the stage height since the smallest person in our family is my Mom and she is 5'9, and i'm 6'5)

In all honesty, if you can get center mezz tickets, they might be better than those orchestra seats. That being said, if you're all set for orchestra, your choice of right over left is better. On the left, you'll miss "City of the Damned" and Whatsername's window. On the right, you'll miss St. Jimmy's entrance in "St. Jimmy" but it's being played live on the TVs so you really don't miss the action.

I actually recommend mezzanine. I've actually ended up getting A1 or A2 in the mezzanine and I actually prefer sitting upstairs than in the orchestra. You get a better sense of the lighting (which doesn't flash in your face as much in the orchestra) and the choreography, which loses something straight on or looking up at it downstairs.
