No one is BETTING on anything. No one is WISHING anything. It's just a discussion.
To whomever threw the titles of Legally Blonde and Little Mermaid: BOTH were flops...so you backed up the very argument you were trying to prove.
RORSHACH -- what does an announcement of a tour have to do with Addams Family closing first? It's not like they will bring THIS cast on tour. They will run it on B'way....for as long as they can. The tour doesn't go out for more than a year.
Now that it's official, I guess it was never even close.
Winston, I know a lot of people who were in their 20's and 30's when AI was released that became fans. Granted ticket prices are high but a lot of those young people that you are referring to will find a way to see the show if they really want to. And no offense but it's "Do keep in mind". JMO

IS it official? It remains POSSIBLE that Addams closes first. It ain't over until the fat Fester sings.
It is official. It has been announced.

It is officially announced that Idiot closes April 24. BUT is it utterly beyond the realm of possibility that Addams Family could close between now and then? No, it is not. Especially with Nathan Lane gone. That's all I'm sayin'. That and that we won't know which show closes first until one has closed.
AF is posting BIG numbers and just underwent a pretty decent first cast change with another replacement set to join soon.
IDIOT is closing first, no if, and's buts or maybe's. There is NO WAY AF will post their closing notice before April 24th.
Sorry, it will not happen no matter how much you wish it or look at it or say, "But it CAN happen."

It is certainly possible that AF could close before AI next month, but the numbers say it is nearly 100% unlikely. Saying it is possible is really a moot point. Anything is possible, just because it is possible doesn't make it likely to happen.

Guys 'n' dolls, I hope and expect you are right. But, in the wild 'n' wonderful world of the legitimate theater, nothing happens until it happens. It's my philosophy, and I'm sticking to it as I anticipate Spider-Man's opening on the 15th. Cheers!
Dude. Is this seriously a conversation? American Idiot is closing first. Back to earth now.

Dewd, this is unseriously a conversation. Logic is its own reward.
