Is six weeks too much time to speculate?
The TodayTix offers and the get-a-second-ticket-for $20 through 9/2 makes me think a new star could be joining the show on 9/4.
Do you think they will stunt cast another role? Who could be the new Jenna? Any ideas?

I really hope they give it to Stephanie Torns. She's proved in betweens Kat's runs that the show can hold the same box office numbers

I would not be too surprised if Sara did another brief run at this point.

I have a feeling that, whenever it does close, Sara will close out the run. (I also wonder if Billy Porter will do the same for KINKY BOOTS?)
If it's more-or-less maintaining its numbers without a star, they should stick with a Broadway person (or promote the understudy) unless their advance is really low for the fall.

Maybe they bring back Betsy? Or depending on her tour contract, Desi.
As far as possible stunt cast, what’s kelly Clarkson up to?

I would prefer Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner as Dr. Pomatter.

That narrows it down..
For real though, Heidi Blickenstaff? No idea what projects shes got booked at the moment though.
Laura Osnes was on the cards for a while, but I doubt she'd replace.

I do think they will need someone with name recognition after McPhee leaves..show has been struggling a bit as of late and as good as the understudy maybe, this show needs someone they can market. I do believe show could be coming to an end on broadway shortly and hopefully sara will close the show out just like Bette is doing with Hello Dolly.

Also wonder who will replace Erich. Has Drew already said he’s returning?
I feel like they should try stunt casting for Becky.

Ashley Spencer would be outstanding for this role! Saw her sing a few songs this week and she nailed it.

Posted: 7/20/18 at 4:38amI know that she just began performances in Wicked, and is likely contracted for a year, but I think that Jessica Vosk would be a fantastic Jenna if Waitress is still running when she’s done with Wicked and is available.

Katie is playing Dawn, not Becky :)

^wrong role. she plays dawn. I think Becky would lend itself better to a stunt cast than any of the other roles.
Nicolette Robinson wouldn’t be bad. Speaking of POC Jenna’s, would love to see Aisha Jackson return to Waitress as a Jenna cover or as Jenna herself.

Just like the Sunday film that was greenlit with Jake that we never heard anything about...
