The envelope you put the SASE just has to be bigger than the SASE itself. It all depends on what size you get. You just have to make sure the playbill fits in one, and the one with the playbill fits in another.

As far as what type of paper to use when asking for a PlayBill..?
I use basic lined paper and hand write a little note. If a performer will actually not send me back a playbill because I didnt use stationary, or typed paper, etc I dont think I would even want their autograph anymore.

Today in the mail, I got a signed playbill from the cast of the Understudy and my Deuce playbill and A Little Night Music Flyer, both signed by Angela Lansbury! :)

wdwfreak - I sent to them in Novemeber and still nothing. So it might take a while, but it might not.

But one last question.. how many stamps would I need? I'm from CA, and the envelope would be around the same size of the playbill.

And Ah I live in New York but be that as it may I use like 6 stamps anyway just because im parnoid *_* Always better to be safe than sorry!

Meggily - I sent out to Ashlee about 3 weeks ago and still havnt gotten a response. I just have a feeling she wont be responding.

saveusmike-- I would just give it some time. I have heard of some people getting stuff back from her. Alot of people (especially if they are celebrities who are not typically on Broadway) can take several months.

Post here if/when you do get a response. I forgot to add--- Alot of celebrities who are on limited engagement runs will go through and send out out all of their mail after they are finished with the show. That has happened several times for me.

I received a very nice, handwritten note from Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime lyricist) in response to a letter I recently sent to her.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime director) gave me a Ragtime opening night pin last Friday evening when I told her how many times I had seen the show in DC and on Broadway!

In the past week and half I have recieved:
playbill from czj signed by her and Angela
signed blithe spirit and night music from Angela on playbill I sent with other signatures on it already.
Signed personalized playbill from Carolee carmello even though I stupidly forgot to put in the note I wrote to her. She also sent in a handwritten note saying she didn't know what I was requesting but was very sweet about it and sent the playbill anyways.
Today I recieved finians rainbow cast signed playbill from oct.

I got a really nice card from Mandy Gonzalez yesterday, which was a surprise since it'd been about 6 months since I wrote to her.

In the past I've also gotten replies from 9 to 5, Wicked LLC, Marcie Dodd, Katie Rowley Jones, Kerry Ellis, Lauren Graham, Kendra Kassebaum, Megan Hilty, Teal Wicks, and Stephanie J Block.

She may get it after she is out of the hospital or if it clearly a get well card, the agency may send it to her.

I just got understudy slips from Danny Quadrino (Bye bye birdie) and a headshot from Cheyenne Jackson. Dannny took like a week or less and Cheyenne took a little over 2 weeks

I just got a signed playbill from Cheyenne Jackson, says "Much Love, Cheyenne"

Sent it Jan 5th, took 11 days. Nice of him. I'm just wondering since I sent him, Christopher, and Terri letters, if the others will send anything back.
