With a lot of the shows I sent requests for are closing, do you think they will start being sent out faster because they want them out or do they really not care?
please help! i've always sent letters to specific performers. i have never just sent a request for the entire cast. if i wanted like a sign playbill from the cast, who would i address it to? do i leave a message inside? and i assume i do the same old Self-addressed/stamped envelope. thanks to anyone who can help me =)
**I don't care what anyone says: I LOVE Million Dollar Quartet!!!!! Favorite** 4/10/10, 4/17/10, 5/8/10, 6/6/10, 6/16/10, 7/3/10, 8/14/10, 9/18/10, 10/10/10, 11/21/10, 12/4/10
rachelbway1011 - If you are asking for a PLaybill to be signed by the entire cast, address the letter to "ATTN: The Cast of (show name)" It's always nice to send it with a message with your request and a SASE. I hope this helps. Happy New Year. :)
rmusic11322- thank you so much! that helps a lot =)

i sent out to a bunch of shows about a month ago and only got back from Gaven Creel (Hair), still waiting to hear from Wicked, Next To Normal, and a bunch of other shows....
^ When did you hear back from Gavin? I still haven't gotten a response.... :P
In the past week, I recieved: -signed The Understudy playbill -signed flyer and note from John Moauro (Hair) -signed understudy slip, note, and draft card (used in the show) from Jay A. Johnson (Hair)
rmusic11322- It took about a week and a half. No really long at all. -------------------------------------------------------- steven22- I got my Next to Normal one, relatively fast. it took about a week or so. -------------------------------------------------------- pennypingleton1994 & rmusic11322- How long did it take for the Understudy to respond? I just sent a request in today.
Also, today I sent to -Burn the Floor (I know, it's pushing it) -Memphis -God of Carnage -Avenue Q -The Understudy -Phantom of the Opera -Present Laughter
As I have a lot of paper memorabilia (e.g., autographed photographs, etc.), I wanted to make sure they were stored correctly in order to minimize any damage to them. I was searching the Internet to find the best place to purchase "archival" supplies (e.g., acid-free sleeves and backing) since I don't feel framing all of my memorabilia is necessary. I came across:
I don't know why any of you would have, but have any of you come across these sites before? Are they reliable? Or, do you know of anywhere better that I could purchase any "archival" supplies?
wdwfreak - I sent to White Christmas on December 17, so should I be expecting my SASE in the mail soon? As for The Understudy, I sent to them on November 6 and I got a responce today. :/ So I'm not sure how long it will take for them to reach you since they are closing soon.
PastorErnst, there was a thread about that a few months ago you could find. I use the playbill binders from playbillstore.com. They are a bit pricey, but they keep my playbills in really nice condition and they look very nice.
EDIT: I re-read your post and realized you didn't specifically mean playbills, but in the thread I mentioned, I believe one of the websites you found was mentioned.

rmusic11322, you can send autograph requests directly to an actor's agency the way you mentioned. The only issue I have heard regarding this practice is that some actors have autographs pre-printed or items are not signed by the actor personally. This is the case with more popular actors who receive a large number of autograph requests/fanmail.
Within the past several years, I've gotten: PLAYBILLS -Hairspray (Diana DeGarmo as Penny) -Hairspray (Alexa Vega as Penny/Ashley Parker Angel as Link) -West Side Story (New Broadway cast) -Legally Blonde (Original Broadway cast) -Legally Blonde (Nicolette Hart as Brooke) -Wicked (Shoshana as Elphaba/Megan Hilty as Glinda) -Grease (New Broadway cast) -Beauty and the Beast (Brooke Tansley as Belle/Steve Blanchard as Beast) Updated On: 1/3/10 at 12:23 AM

Shows in the 2010 Season for me. 101 Dalmations tour - Jan 24th, Xanadu Tour - Mar 9th and 10th, Wicked - May 14th, Legally Blonde - June 12th:::::::Upcoming - South Pacific, Young Frankinstein (Two Cities) Rock of Ages (Two Cities) Shrek (3 Cities) Les Mis, DreamGirls, Spring Awakening, Color Purple, and 9 to 5!
Today, I got two Playbills from the Toxic Avenger; one signed and one blank. But I can't figure out one signature. It's signed by the whole cast but there is a signature with a D and a circle next to it with a line going through it. IDK.
Also, I got an orange note card type peice of paper with a picture of the final cast of The Marvelous Wonderettes and it says, "xo, The Wonderettes!" And it's signed by the whole cast. :)
Maybe Diana Degarmo??? Or it could be the Stage Manager...also...
HAPPY 100 Pages!!!!

I sent about a page letter exclaiming how excited I was that she was back on broadway and that it was such an honor/sadness to have seen her in blithe spirit because I was so happy I would have gotten to see Angela Lansbury in her final show, yet at the same time, I was sad because it would be angela lansburys final show! :P
It was a nice letter. tbh I was actually surpised I didnt get a "letter" back. I know she usually sends out this pre typed letter to fans when they write to her. Oh well The playbills good enough lol
Yeah, when I wrote her in blithe spirit, she sent back a pretyped letter, but included my name in it and something that actually let me know she read it (if she typed it that is) and signed it. lol, I want to write to her again but I don't know what. Do you think she'll personalize a playbill I send her for my bf If I ask her nicely?
