Seems like everyone's got something special! What did you guys write in the letter? Do you think Chris Fitzgerald would get pissed if I asked him if he felt intimidated by all the taller people? LOL xD I would write to him, and Sutton, and Laura Bell Bundy, and soooooo many others. Do we just gush to them or we gotta have a real question?
Sgt ~ I usually write about something in a performance that especially touched me. That way it's personal and they know I'm not just a collector looking for more autographs when I really don't know anything about their performances. I've never really asked a question. More just admiration for their work.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
2 or 3 is what I usually do. Two if it's a smaller cast/lighter, or 3 if it's something like Les Miserables where the playbill is bigger. Hope that helps?!
And it's been about 2 months for me with Sunday and about a month for Catered. I doubt I'm going to get anything back. Or maybe I'll be suprised. Oh well!?
jordangirl - 2 stamps will be just fine. That's what i've always put on mine when requesting one. I have never actually sent out a playbill to be signed - i've always just asked for one, and they've always sent it ! Usually I'll ask for a signed playbill and a signed picture, and about 90% of the time I've received both.
SgtDonut- Many of the performers I've written to, I have never seen perform in real life. I just usually like the show they're in, or something like that. (I live in MN, so seeing shows in NYC isn't exactly the easiest). Anyway, I try to look for video clips of them performing online so I can comment on their performance in some way. I always have a boatload of questions - they always go unanswered, but it fills up writing space. Lastly be sure to ask for an autographed picture, or whatever you're interested in receiving. Include a self addressed stamped enveloped (6"x9" is fine - 2 stamps if you want a playbill, 1 stamp if you want a pic). You can fold the envelope sideways and stick it into a business sized envelope with your letter. I'm telling you all this because I was clueless when I first started writing, and it took a while to find out all the info i needed to know. Anyway - it's a fun hobby :)! Feel free to PM me if you have any Q's. GOOD LUCK!
I JUST checked the mailbox, and received a signed picture from Dee Roscioli!!! I was sure I wasn't going to get anything from her. She was one of the 1st people I wrote to back in March, but I didn't sent a SASE! Woohoo! Now i've received something from all 3 sets of Elphabas and Glindas in NYC, Chicago, and LA - well, current as of April.
