Just a general question -- I'm thinking of sending a request to the 5th Avenue Theatre for Catch Me if You Can. Are their programs standard Playbill size or are they 8x10?

I got a lovely little handwritten note from Jerry Herman yesterday after a few weeks of waiting. I had congratulated him on his Lifetime Achievement Tony Award and wrote him about how much I enjoyed his body of work. It was a lovely surprise! :)
sgv123-Yes, your picture is showing up now. Very cool.

Yesterday I got a reply from Bernadette Peters! =D
Did you send your letter to the adress posted on her website?
I was going to send something but I wasn't sure she would actually reply.
Yep...I used the one on her website. She asks for a $10 donation to her charity though if you want an autograph.

Okay, I want to know who you can get stuff back from really quickly, guaranteed. I'm very impatient, and it needs to be worth it to cover postage from Chicago to NYC. Any suggestions for my first fan mail letter ever?

I would Suggest Megan Hilty, Stephanie Block, John Tartaglia, Brian D'Arcy James, and Karen Olivo. I got things back from all of them within 2 weeks (some only 1). I also got a signed photo back from The Billy boys within 1 week.

I have an autograph collection, but I could never officially count it as an autograph unless I actually watched the person sign. Those are the autographs I treasure. Are all the people posting here from out of town? It's usually quite easy to get signatures at the stage door. The only autographs I did not witness that I add to my official list of signatures are those I have purchased during Equity Fights Aids, and even some of those can be guesswork when it come to identifying signatures. I'm still trying to find two of the Billys on my $100 window card, and I know what their signatures look like as I have them on other memorabilia signed at the SD.

I recieved Next to Normal and Rock of Ages signed Playbills today. The Next to Normal one was from Jessica Phillips and she also gave me an understudy slip of her as Diana.
