Methinks Brooke only read the title of the thread...
Wouldn't she be an amazing Sally Bowles?? I also wish she would come back to NYC (in anything!)
"I'm curious about something. How well has she worked with others in previous shows? To what extent does that matter, when it comes to casting a show? I'm sure there's a grapevine where such things are talked about. The only thing I remember about her, during her "Beauty and the Beast" run is some board discussion about some problematic issues with stage dooring."
i remember the stage door threads, apparently she cussed once and someone got their panties all in a twist.
but i don't ever remember anyone mention she didn't get along with cast members. though i am surprised she hasn't gone to see Raven in Sister Act. i'm assuming, BW would have photos since they did it for Raven when she went to see Anneliese in BATB.

Here is a video of her performing at Broadway Under the Stars. As I mentioned earlier I don't know what the future holds for the current NYC production of 'Into the Woods', but I definitely think she would make a great Cinderella since Jessie Meuller would not be able to transfer with it.

It annoys me when one person does an ensemble number. I much rather would have heard her sing a solo.

I actually think that she pulled it off well.
She was my favourite on That's So Raven and I've always wished that she'd get more recognition.
I know that the revival of Funny Girl was indefinately postponed, but if Lauren Ambrose becomes unavailable by the time it gets back on track, I think that she'd be a great pick for Fanny Bryce.
And while she's still a bit too young, in a few years she'd make a kickass Lucille Frank in Parade.
I think if ITW transfers and Amy Adams and Jessie M. does transfer with it (Amy has movies coming out, Jessie has Drood) I think she could be either Bakers Wife or Cinderella. :)
i have never seen anyone turn "Belle" into a solo, but i think she did great. it looks like she was having fun with it. this just makes me miss BATB.
i'd kill to see her in ITW. i don't care what role.
I don't know why I just don't hear her voice as Belle even though I absolutely love her as a performer. It doesn't surprise me that she killed it regardless, though.

Today, she wrote on Facebook that she has an announcement coming in a few weeks or maybe sooner. And she winked. I know she has played Eva in 'Evita' before and was the youngest actress to do ever do to maybe she's doing the tour. It could also be an acting project for musical theatre project or maybe film or TV.

So, basically, in other words, it could be literally anything.

I don't think its Eva but if it is, I'm definitely coming home from college to see her in it. Her vocals would be ear shattering ( in a good way).

Have you heard casting rumors for the 'Evita' tour, broadway_guy?

The only rumors I have heard is that the Eva they picked has played Elphaba. But then again those are just rumors so who knows. I'd love to see Anneliese play Eva.
Awesome rumor! On the same note, I heard it'll be an actress who has an Equity card!

Did you hear these rumors on the West End board?
She needs to shorten her name by about 17 syllables so someone can actually remember it, let alone pronounce it.

I can remember and pronounce (and I´m not even a fan) her name and every intelligent human should also be able too. It would really be a shame if she doesn´t get jobs only because she hasn´t an american sounding name!

It couldn't hurt to come up with a more simple stage name, though. I get what Besty is saying.. It's a fair point.
Who?

You can't have a wildly unusual first name and last name if you want people to keep your name straight. See also, Asmeret Ghebremichael.

It doesn't have to be American-sounding. It does have to be simple and easy to pronounce. Welcome to show business.
Javier Bardem is simple and relatively easy to pronounce
Marion Cotilliard is close enough.
Pola Negri was fine even in the 1920s.
Viveca Lindfors, no problem.
She doesn't need a "Louis B. Mayer" name, but ...
Anna-Ally-Eeesey Van Der P--- I'm sorry what was I saying? I got lost somewhere in the syllables and hidden vowels. I forgot if I liked her or not.
I'd be amazed if an agent or manager hasn't strongly urged her to change it.
EDIT: And if you don't think it makes a difference, you don't know much about show business history.
