I noticed on ticketmaster that tonights performance of spiderman has been cancelled, anyone know why?

Closing it today would be the smartest thing they could do. That way they can blame it on the evil critics and talk about all the amazing changes we never got to see.
What's the alternative? Open in March and get the same exact reviews? Get bashed twice?

The weird thing is, not only does Ticketmaster say tonight's performance is canceled but guess which other performance is also marked CANCELED?
That would be March 15th. Isn't that supposed to be opening night?

Maybe they are telling cast/crew to pack it up?

I think tonight's performance was always meant to be cancelled. Wasn't it cancelled when the announced the March opening and said they were putting changes in?

I don't know what the story is. They are selling tickets through 5/15 (which doesn't mean anything.) But the 2 dates marked CANCELED are tonight and March 15th.
I just raise an eyebrow that of all the other dates on there, opening night is marked canceled. It could mean nothing but another delay. Shocking, I know.

Maybe I am wrong--but do they ever sell tickets on opening night? Aren't they closed performances? The March 15th "cancellation" is not unusual to me at all. That doesn't explain tonight though.

March 15 isn't cancelled, the curtain just got moved up to 6:30 and is technically no longer a public performance since it's opening night.

I don't remember about TONIGHT...but of course 3/15 is canceled: TO THE PUBLIC. It's opening night. There were folks here that originally had tickets that were cancelled the day after the last postponement was announced.
They seldom openly sell tix to opening night. Perhaps a few days ahead of time, or a week when all the "special" folk have gotten their tix there COULD be some left over for sale.
