"example of censorship here at BWW"? This is a Broadway message board. The thread was an idiotic attempt to start drama that literally did not exist and was then deleted. 

I'm glad the mods are greater action at policing this board. It has become a dumpster fire of bitchiness in the last two years and has frankly become an industry joke. Even a show coming in next season is going to poke major jokes at this boards expense, ya'll will have a meltdown.

Threads have not been deleted about the Tony Awards....and particularly not about performance speculation.

Bottom line, if the claim was false, great. It means the cast gets to shine at the Tonys.  As for censoring, well better to remove false claims than to perpetuate a lie.  Would've been more helpful if the spokesperson for Scott just made a public statement to end all the nonsense.

Ha.  Yes, because you know all the threads that get deleted.  It's cute, you're coming after me because I called you out in another thread but yes, deleted threads happen all the time.  Example, the one that we are literally talking about right now!  Oh, and I would never say the word "geta".  Quote me correctly if you're going to at all, sweetie.

The problem is that I haven't seen proof one way or the other that is true or false. I think deleting the thread was a little necessary.

Ok: SWEETIE.  Did you come "after me" ?   I hadn't noticed, because I don't care much.  As for misquoting you, didn't happen.   I used the button that automatically quotes whatever is written. (And we can see when you update/fix a post - which is no big deal, typos happen.)  And just how did I "come after you"?  Correcting an incorrect statement isn't going after someone.   Having a different opinion isn't, either.   

You seem to have a problem with reading comprehension.  I didn't say that THREADS don't get deleted.  You said that Tony Award threads get deleted all the time this time of year...to which I said you were incorrect.   Tony Award threads seldom get deleted, nor do ones about speculation about what they are performing.

You want be queen bee around here by proving how right you are?   Well, duke it out with GeorgeandDot, because no one else cares.

This is correct. The original poster changed the title of the thread to "Please Delete." In most cases, we will honor an OP's request like this, especially since it appears that the social media post that was the impetus for starting the thread was incorrect. If information comes out to the contrary, and the original assertion does prove true, anyone is welcome to continue the discussion in this thread, the Tony performance thread (which has not been deleted, nor have any of its kind), or in a new thread.

Why would Rudin ever make any sort of statement about a twitter rumor that was then regurgitated on a broadway message board that very few people read? I think "PR 101" would not be to draw attention to a rumor that wasn't true...
