You're kidding, right?
Please tell me you're kidding.
Please...for the love of all that is holy in this world.

Posted: 8/25/04 at 5:27pmyou know, it WOULD have been a cool way to end the show... much MUCH better than the curtain being drawn across the stage and seeing everything in shadow...

<< Man, audiences are getting harder and harder to please. 10 years ago people would have thought this show (the songs, the sets and special effects) was the greatest thing since slice bread. >>
Walk by the Gershwin theater when the show lets out. Many still do. Think what you may about the show (Personally, I love it), but for the most part, its a crowd pleaser. Many of my co-workers have seen the show, and they all tell me that its the best show that they have ever seen. These are people in their 40's-60's that have seen many shows in their lifetimes.

No...really...let's get back to the fact that Emu has no idea why there would be a hat in the middle of the stage.
Truly, Emu, for one of WICKED's staunchest defenders, how can you not know why that hat is there.

duh, robbie, they used to the ozian hat dance there, but that got cut in san fran but they decided to keep the hat there because it looks kinda cool. joe's always been like that.
he'll look at an image on the stage and be all like, "yes, keep that!"
when people ask why he gets all quiet and kinda fidgets and then sort murmurs, "umm, cuz it's cool."
i remember robbie (the other one) was working on that with him for a while...

Posted: 8/25/04 at 5:45pmI actually like how they drag the curtain across the stage and she melts behind it. Its sposed to represent being unsure and not knowing what REALLY happened. Maybe thats just me. And the hats there because she just died...well kinda died Updated On: 8/25/04 at 05:45 PM

Posted: 8/25/04 at 5:47pmhmmm, well that's a *yawn*stretch* reason... just seems not very theatrical... especially since all the fans who are mostly kids, already know this is going to happen...

Posted: 8/25/04 at 5:55pmThe screen is comedic in a way... its like sheilding people from the brutal death of the wicked witch. think about it that way, its like saying this is too gruesome for you too see, we have to de-graphic-ize it for you (look I'm speaking glinda everyone!)

According to my watch, it's time to leave work.
Does anyone actually believe my watch just spoke to me?

They would if we lived in Oz :)
No I meant it supposed to leave us unsure. In the movie you just see her melt. Now we're supposed to wonder what the screen's for. It is also used to show you that Glinda is actually there watching this hidden from view.

Or it's used to show that the blew the budget on that freaking pointless dragon clock and had nothing left to pull off a great melting effect.

again... *yawn*stretch* ... for the amount of money they threw into this, they could have come up with something more theatrical... and as far as...
"The screen is comedic in a way... its like sheilding people from the brutal death of the wicked witch. think about it that way, its like saying this is too gruesome for you too see, we have to de-graphic-ize it for you"
please...

Posted: 8/25/04 at 6:25pmactually that curtain was VERY expensive. The projections are a lot of money. I know, they should have just kept it simple and did the shadows with a light behind them instead of wasting money on that...although it is cool, it was a waste of money
