You are the one to talk, heres some advice, if you don't like Wicked good for you, keep it to yourself, and keep your **** out of threads, because this is what the forums are for, for people to talk about ANY show they want. So if you dont like it, too damn bad
Wow, you ARE mature.
I'll post anywhere I feel like it.

I know, I guess im just not as mature as a 40 year old complaining about to many Wicked threads on a BROADWAY site.

Defying, I understand your passionate love for Wicked. I'm not a fanatic, but I do enjoy the show. But the posters here that don't have the Wicked bug can only take so many threads on the same musical every day. Exercise your right to post, but don't overdo it.
TheatreDiva, we're tired of Wicked threads, yes, but it is a pain that must be endured for the good of theatre and the general well-being of BroadwayWorld. :)
Dont have a passion for Wicked, just dont like stupidity..
No disrespect meant to anyone on here, we all are entitled to our own opinions, of course. But when I see threads about musicals I don't like, even if I do see them often, I just ignore them. I realize there ARE a lot of Wicked ones, but you don't have to click on 'em.
And we ARE all Broadway fans here!

Ah, from the mouths of children.
And I'm not 40. Wrong again....
Yes, we are all entitled to our own opinions, freedome of speech, yayforeveryone. But we're also entitled as people to respect one another. When someone just goes all out and bashes a performer, they're expressing their opinion. However, they cross a line in doing said "bashing" because it completely disregards any respect for the performer that should've been witheld.
We do things that other people think are stupid. You're entitled to think that. But as humans (especially people that are able to appreciate a fine art such as theatre), you must be able to have the decency to at least respect the standings of one another.
I don't mind a good debate now and then, but when things lash out over trivial things such as these, it makes a bad impression. TheatreDiva was right in saying that there are too many Wicked threads. There certainly is a lot, but I'm hoping the FAQ will reduce a number of them.
Defying was right in saying that TheatreDiva should ignore threads that he doesn't want to take part in, but human nature comes along with a little thing called curiosity (ever wonder why there could be 100 views with 2 replies?). There was no need to act so harshly from either of you. Just let it goooooooo. There are better things to look forward to. I hear Wicked's performing on Leno tomorrow.
OOoohh my appologies. Sorry, your on the cliff just as its about to give way to you rolling down the hill.
It's hot and humid as hell here. Sorry.
::rolls down the hill::
Aigoo you are on of the greatest posters on this board. Period.
Now continue the mud flinging.
defying, why not just get back on the broom you flew in on and go home.
You couldn't try any harder to be an ass and get a bad rep here.
If anyone is acting stupid here it is you........

Well, Defying, I pretty much am also sick of Wicked threads...but it doesn't stop me from taking a peek, eh?...poor song choice. If it was actually What Is This Feeling? or...erm...Defying Gravity, I'd watch. But One Short Day does not appeal to me.
Now I understand the posters who come during the summer and their ways...Defying, you are pretty much being a rude person right now...BUT that's my opinion.

I think one of the best things that Wicked fans can do to minimize the annoyance to non-Wicked fans on this board is to make a genuine attempt use the search feature before starting a new Wicked thread. For example, this entire thread is duplicative, because there was already a thread on this topic (i.e., Wicked's appearance on tomorrow's Tonight Show) started a week ago, which could just have been bumped:
https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?boardname=bway&thread=858407
I realize the "search before creating a new thread" rule actually applies to all topics, but since there seems to be a special sensitivity on here around the subject of Wicked, I would think it goes double for that show. And just to be clear, my only intention in making this post is to try to assuage feelings on both sides.

I have NOTHING against the show! Hell, it may be my next job...
It's just all of the posts.
Back on topic.....I am glad they are doing One Short Day. It is one of my favorite songs from the show.

I feel like they always pick this song, but maybe it's just me. On the Today show they did it, in the Macy's parade they did it. I don't know. Just getting a little tired of it.
Ash, I completely agree with you. Maybe it's just b/c I am such a fan of the show, but I'd like to see "WITF" as others have suggested.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as featuring mostly all members of the cast for a reasonable amount of time, aren't the only choices for this option "WITF" and "OSD"?
I suppose we all could highlight the positive element of the performance choice. Now, we can all compare Idina & Kristin, Shoshana & Jennifer, and Stephanie & Kendra, for they have all performed this number, though some not so "live" as others.
There are just better songs to choose from other than OSD, I mean WITF features everyone, because they do dance, and they do sing with the Ensemble so I mean it could do just as well, And it would be alot more enjoyable to see
I am so watching Jay Leno tonight! One Short Day isn't a terrible song, but I agree that What is This Feeling could have been a better choice, or maybe Thank Goodness even though Elphaba isn't in that song.
They would NEVER do a song that doesn't have Elphaba in it, ever!

Just saw the rehearsal over at the Tonight Show....It looks fun, they sound great and it sells the show, which is the whole point.
Stephanie and Kendra couldn't have been nicer, and it's fun to see all of the cast bopping around the Commisary at lunch!
