Wicked or Hello Dolly?

I've posted one of these not too long ago, but I'm still having trouble deciding if I should go see Wicked or rewatch Hello Dolly. With Taylor casted as Evan Hansen, I really want to see him one last time (I'm going around November/December), because he was one of my favorite parts of the show. And it's just a lovely production in general. Or, should I go get tickets to Wicked? I haven't heard much of anything about the current cast, but I assume they're good? Ideally, I would love to see both, but I'm not sure about whether that can happen.

Hello Dolly, for sure. That said, I would always pick X if the question is "Wicked or X?"

So when they sing "Dolly'll never go away again" it's all lies?!?

1. Casted is never a word. (Pet peeve, sorry)
2. Dolly.

Even after nuclear war, Wicked will still be playing.

If you've seen Dolly already surely there is another show besides Wicked that you could stop by?

I love Wicked, but Dolly! is simply sublime. Utter bliss.

It's not clear if you have ever seen Wicked. It's one of my favorites, but both times I saw it was on tour. So I don't know if I'll ever see it on Broadway because I want to see things I can't see on tour when I'm in NYC (although as I write this, I realize I'd see BoM and Hamilton and maybe even Kinky Boots again on Broadway, probably because I saw them first there; but due to being spoiled for choices and the $$$ of Ham tix, I've only seen each once).
So I guess if you are only considering either Wicked or Dolly, the considerations are have you ever seen Wicked and does it ever tour near you? If either of the answers to the above if yes, then it sounds like you should see Dolly because even if it tours near you, Taylor likely won't be in it.

If you are you going to a Donna performance, it's probably the biggest bang for your buck on Broadway right now.

Out of this season, I've seen Anastasia and Dolly (a really small list, I know). I'd love to see DEH and/or GC, but one is too expensive and the other is closing. Maybe Once on this Island or Aladdin? The latter isn't super interesting but the OOTI revival has potential.

Wicked has toured in Orlando before (my location), but they don't have any upcoming tour dates here. I think it'd be best to just go rewatch Dolly, and then maybe snatch up some Wicked tickets on a future trip.

So have you seen Wicked before or does it tour near you? Will you back in NYC next year when Taylor is in DEH? Ticket prices should be more reasonable once Ben leaves.
It sounds like you are open to other shows. I'm also in NYC in November. In addition to DEH and Dolly, I'm also seeing Sweeney Todd, The Band's Visit, Come From Away, and Waitress. Don't know if any of those appeal to you. But if you really want to see Dolly, then do that!

Yeah, Wicked isn't going anywhere so Dolly is the better bet. Wicked really is a great show. I do hope you get to see it one day.

If you saw Hello Dolly with Bette, go see it with Donna Murphy. So worth the trip.
As much as I love Jackie Burns, you can wait on Wicked. It's not going anywhere.

Is there anything too innaproproate in Band's Visit? I'm going with my middle-aged aunt, and it'd be quite uncomfortable to sit through some objectionable stuff (curse words, mild content is ok). Besides that, what I've heard of the score seems beautiful and the plot is interesting. I'll be seeing CFA in the Spring, and both Sweeney and Waitress have a lot of content I don't think would be pleasant to see with a family member. Thanks!

From what I know about The Band's Visit, I can't imagine anything too objectionable.

Definitely Hello Dolly! Especially if you're going to see Donna and haven't seen her yet.
