I tweeted them about it a little while ago and they said they haven't announced anything but they will tweet it once they do.
It seems a lot of people have been asking them on twitter lately. I was hoping to go tomorrow night too.

I asked the gentleman in the Box Office at 7PM tonight and he said they should be hearing in the morning what the decision is, but he seemed to think it would be some sort of Student Rush.
The Neil Simon also has room for Standing Room, but no word on if/when that would be offered at this point.
Hopefully a morning announcement..

"A limited number of student rush tickets will be available when the box office opens (10am Monday through Saturday) for that day's performance(s). Tickets are $27 (inclusive of a $2 facility fee) and are only available in person at the Neil Simon box office. You must present a valid student ID. Limit two tickets per person."
From this morning's announcement article.

I don't know where DRS got his information. But, I did indeed get a student rush ticket for the first preview. I called at around 11:30 or so, and they said that they didn't know if they were going to be selling them for the first preview and to call back at 1:30. I did, and they said that they were in fact selling them, I went over to the theatre and got one.

Instead of having a ton of threads about this let's try and keep it to one.
Do people have any info on how early to get there and where the seats are?

I was at the show Saturday night in a TDF seat, and at intermission I walked down to the stage to peek at the special effects. I chatted with a nice young woman who said she had done rush. She was seated in the first row. She said the view was fine, except for some moments downstage, where the view was somewhat obscured.

From going to the box office myself. Man told me they weren't doing it and to come back at 5. Thank god I didn't because I ended up winning the Book of Mormon lotto on my way back over.

For those curious:
Rush today:
1st person in line at 7:45
5 people in line by 8:30
20/22 people in line by 9:30-45
Not sure how many tickets they gave out

Posted: 9/30/13 at 12:10pmThe seats seem to be extreme sides of the front orchestra. I got the box office at 12:30 on Wed and scored a ticket for the matinee no problem.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 12:04amI was in B 13 or something like that - it was just "ok". I missed a ton upstage actually, but not to the extent where I couldn't figure out what was happening. There was a couple times that I didn't even realize someone had entered the stage until I heard them talking and then they walked downstage.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 12:44amI went on Saturday and got row D on the right, three seats in from the aisle. The two seats next to me were also offered as rush tickets. My seat was not bad, I didn't miss much, but sometimes when the cast are on extreme sides of the stage it would be hard to see them. And since the rows are not really elevated in the orchestra I was blocked at times by the people sitting in front of me, but that can happen in any other seat too. Generally, I think the seats are great for their price. I was there at 7:45 on Saturday, and by 8 AM I would say there were at least 16 people in line, and the line grew pretty fast after that. If anyone is planning to rush on the weekends, I'd say get there about 2 hours before the box office opens to be safe.

Where I was seated was pretty bad since it was the last seat closest to the wall. You don't get the full effect of the dance numbers and miss a lot of action stage right.
You do have to come to expect that since you basically get what you pay for. The girl in front of me did not understand that and she proceeded to sit on her feet further obstructing my view and then craning her neck so far over into the person's seat next to her that she was basically on top of him. I understand wanting to see things that are going on but if you have a rush seat you can't do it at the expense of those around you. Definitely one of the rudest people I've seen in awhile.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 11:50amFor what it's worth I got to the theater at around 9:00 today and was able to get two tickets. Excited to see the show and hope my view isn't too obstructed.
