How long is Christina's contract?
She is scheduled until January.
But the show is selling tickets until Feb. So I imagine she will renew until FEB.
Britney would already be an equity member, as she was the understudy in "Ruthless!" off-Broadway. She left that production to do "MMC."
I think Britney in Charity would be great. She would open the minds of future theater goers.
oh god what has this world come to!
i don't know iamemma, but i think the world is ending

britney spears would not be good. She's a terrible actor and gives the illusion that she can sing through the songs that are written for her. I doubt her going to broadway would open the minds of future theatre goers, it would just make them want to see more shows with britney spears, which is the last thing broadway needs.
Britney would not neccesarily be an equity member. You have to pay dues, and even though she has more money than god if she wasn't gonna use her equity membership she probably let it end a LONG time ago...
and I think she performed in Ruthless! like, once?

As sad as it sounds...i actually think Britney could do the gig...because she has to replace an actress with not too much talent...(or too friendly to her audience). I would probably go to see Britney in it...but yeah...it would be very sad for Broadway. I just happen to dislike Britney Spears...but many other pop stars did amazing work on Broadway such as Toni Braxton, Vanessa Williams , Tamyra Gray and others.
Vanessa Williams has something rare called TALENT. Mrs. Federline doesn't have that - nor does Mr. Federline for that matter. I wonder if they plan a cameo onstage for Baby Federline?
I agree Vanessa,Toni and Tamyra are talented and Britney isn't.
it's funny...but i would actually like to see Britney in it...i can't believe they r still talking about her starring in the show....who knows? im glad she went to see the show though.

Wait..what did Susan Anton do in "Will Rogers"??
She yelled "CUT?"
I hope you were being facetious when you asked this question. Britney certainly can sing well enough to perform live on stage (while dancing). Have you been trained in song and dance since you were a child?
Britney didn't leave RUTHLESS for MMC. They were years apart.
The day that Spears is on Broadway before MANY a talented actor/singer, is the day I'll want to shoot myself in the neck! Oh, also, I'd like to disagree about Vanessa Williams and Toni Braxton and the other one...I don't think they have much talent at all...weak, weak voices...

Britney being in SC... oh man this CAN'T be true. ahhh Christina needs to stay longer!!
About Britney lip-syncing...yeah...she probably would. She can't sing in a B'Way show!
Vanessa Williams has a beautiful voice. She didn't just start singing when she did Broadway. She was a singer long before she hit Broadway, which I assume most of us knew.
And Toni Braxton - all I have to say is "Unbreak My Heart." Weak voice?

yeah but Vanessa Williams on the other hand..can sing. Don't get me worng I have to admit I did like a few of Britney's songs but I don't think she can do Broadway.
I know Vanessa Williams didn't start singing on Broadway. For me, her voice just doesn't do it...nor does "Unbreak My Heart" from Ms. Braxton. And I love when people want to compare studio work to anything live. Some of Britney's tunes sound like she can have a decent voice because of studio capabilites.

now Miss Vanessa Williams, who is a TRUE Triple Threat, CAN do this role justice and actually revamp and save this show by making it her own, Much as Raquel Welch did after she took over when Bacall left "Woman of the Year".
OrdinaryJukebox...u make me laugh...Vanessa Williams can't sing? Toni Braxton? and by the way...have you seen Tamyra Gray live EVER??? she is the least weak singer i have ever heard!!! she is the only singer that could sing "i will always love you" and sound as good as Whitney. Have you seen Vanessa, Toni or Tamyra in any of their shows??? i am sure you haven't. Tamyra sang live every night at the Broadway theatre and she sang live on American Idol...trust me...none of them sounds bad live.
I LOVE the Broadway Theatre. I always feel so comfy there - I don't know if it is the seats, the layout, or what, but I also haven't had a bad seat in that house. Other than that - It looks like the only way Mrs. Federline will really be doing this show is to "Keep her Husband in reach". Word is out that she has already taken the infant and went home to Mom in a huff. Seems Mr. Federline is a boy who just wants to have fun, and if She can secure him a role in the negotiations, she is being smart, "Feed His EGO, Make him feel like a Star too, Keep him on the leash!". Very smart move Mrs. Federline, But personally, If he doesn't love you for YOU, I'd dump his butt now cuz you know damn well it's on it's way! Go find a Man who really wants you, and will adopt the Baby to love as his own... Oh My, I'm sounding like Dr. Joy Browne, and that is good, I LOVE DR. JOY BROWNE!!!
if britney lipsyncs, than maybe her baby will do the real singing. It probably has more talent in his little pinkie than she does in her whole body.
muscle23ftl...are either of these women related to you? Close friends, your mother? Is there any reason to get so upset simply because my opinion differs from yours? I'm sorry that you're so frazzeled by my lack of interest in either of their voices. I can't say I've seen Tamyra live on stage, but I watched her live on American Idol, and her voice just didn't thrill me. The other two, don't have "bad" voices, just not something that works for me, especially in Broadway. I'm not saying they should drop dead, I'm not calling them bad people, they just don't work for me. So, relax...everything is cool...however, her being a real triple threat? A friend of mine worked on a film that she was in and said she couldn't act to save her life...HOWEVER, that's just what I heard...
