Oh, I think get it ....
Will SWEET CHARITY go into The Broadway Theatre (since Bombay Dreams is vacating it in a few weeks)?
Ummmmmm ..... I don't know. You're right that it may be their only good option.
Oh, is that what he/she meant? I almost posted "EXPLAIN YOURSELF AT ONCE!"
Oh! Riiiiiiight...thanks Radio that was a tough one
When is SWEET CHARITY coming? Is there an official site?

No...I'm pretty sure they're not moving into the Broadway.
I heard the Hirschfeld.
Why can't questions be asked in full?
Hirschfeld is possible, but I have a feeling that Wonderful Town will not be vacating the theater before summer at the earliest. Below is the site for "Sweet Charity". Thanks for all the props, but I have a feeling I'm gonna be a big "Sweet Charity" person, so get ready for tons of threads on it from me!
Sweet Charity- The Musical
Do you guys think Wonderful Town will be out of the Hirschfeld in time for Charity to come in in April? That would mean it would have to close by at least early March, and I don't really see that happening. It's doing better now at the box office than it was towards the end of Donna Murphy's run, and the Christmas season will only help it becuase Brooke Shields has major tourist pull. I don't see it leaving the Hirschfeld any time soon, or at least before April.
Perhaps the Longacre or Brooks Atkinson? The Gershwin, anyone?
I thought Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf snagged the Longacre... or was that the Cort?
Longacre has Virginia Woolf, and Democracy is at the Brooks Atkinson and that's not going anywhere. (Cort has Laugh Whore and then On Golden Pond).
Does anyone know if the full cast has been announced for this show? I saw it done at a high school a few years ago and loved it. Can't wait for it to come to Broadway.
I do expect that Sweet Charity is going to end up at the Broadway Theatre. It's a big house, but the original Charity played at the Palace and the revival played at the Minskoff, and those theatres are similarly huge.
Steel Magnolias is going into the Lyceum. I do believe that there's a tenant in the spring for every theatre but the Circle in the Square (with certain rumors circulating about that theatre as well).
Yes, I see the Broadway as the only solution. The Weisslers were talking about bringing it to the Hirschfeld and closing "Town," but that was before Brooke took the role and began to bring in the $$ again. I don't see it closing until the summer. The Barrymore is open, but I think that's a tad too small and I believe the MTC is looking to refurbish it. It's really not built for musicals of Charity's size. The only other open theatre is the Circle in the Square...and I just do not see Charity playing there.
No, the Barrymore is Shubert-owned and was actually refurbished not too long ago...I think just prior to Sly Fox playing there. And the Barrymore does have a tenant on the way.
MTC renovated the Barrymore's neighbor, the Biltmore.
One question would be is, who is replacing Brooke when she leaves in January? Will WT continue to have the kind of Box Office that it enjoys now once she is gone?
Oh, don't be surprised if she sticks around a little while longer.
