Have we heard if any shows will bring back the lottery system ?
Digital lotteries will definitely come back, and probably right away. I’m sure in person lotteries will come back too, but may take a little longer than digital lotteries to return. Just my guess, though.

I think it will depend on a) demand for tickets and b) financial situations of shows. I think most shows would like lotteries to come back, but I also think a lot of shows that haven't recouped yet, having now been closed a year and a half on top of that, if they can sell out their houses at full price, they're going to have to do that.
I wouldn't be suprised if IN PERSON lotteries/rush never made it back, but, yes, they'll be back. I suspect most will be right away.
The shift to digital was already underway and will be accelerated by this. This will be true for all forms of ticketing in the near future, in the broader context of moving to a much more cashless world. One of the last significant challenges tech-wise is going to be TKTS.
As mentioned above, most shows were already strictly online lottery so it’s definitely going to be the norm from now on as it not only stops the crowds outside of a theatre but it is beyond more convenient as you do it online and you know if you won a few hours later AND you didn’t have to waste your day going to the theatre.

I really hope in person rush comes back. The online lottery became next to impossible. I’d rather wait for three hours at the theatre in the morning
