Totally thought Will from Will & Grace was getting some sort of spin-off musical.

That might be cool. What composer would you put on that?

I think this would be perfect for a musical. Jason Robert Brown maybe?

It would make a great musical with the right creative team.
Wouldn't most things?
It would make a great musical with the right creative team.
Um...
In the future, all movies will be musicalized. Look for Lawrence of Arabia, Halloween, Body Heat, The Crying Game and Gigli.
I don't know what Steel Pier has to do with The Truman Show. And also, yeah anything can be a good musical with the right writers behind it.
I suspect the point about STEEL PIER was the failure by its excellent creative team. It was a response to Dramamama's "wouldn't anything make a great musical if it had a great creative team".
I mean don't a lot of people really love Steel Pier? Yeah it wasn't a financial success, but it was still a pretty good musical.

a lot of people? no. it’s basically a piece of crap and probably the worst musical Kander and Ebb ever wrote.
^I mean, yeah. It's not great by Kander and Ebb standards, but it has a pretty big cult following doesn't it? I hear people praise it all the time.
