I've been to the show twice this week and both nights Constantine and Amy were both out. Luckly I talked the box office to exchange my ticket both times. Does anyone know what's up with the performers. I'll be going again next Tuesday wish me luck.

I'm not sure about Amy, but I know Constantine wasn't feeling well the first night out. Then he did the NA at the Met's game.

Constantine supports a lot of Greek orientated events and was at and event last night. He said at that event he had an eight o'clock show tomorrow. So I'm pretty sure he'll be there tonight. Amy may have been feeling under the weather also.

Spanger was straining on the first preview, so I can imagine the show took a toll on her voice.

Constantine should be back tonight, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for Amy. Savannah is good though.

You don't want to miss Maroulis, but I've heard Wise is better in the role than Spanger, since she can sing no problem and actually looks like she might be a youngster fresh off a bus from KS, as opposed to Spanger, who is over 35, and even with the get up and fake hair looks over 30. The role doesn't really require a ton of acting chops.

Savannah and Jeremy Jordan are both pretty amazing, though.

Actually, I liked them both when I saw it yesterday a lot better than when I saw Amy and Constantine. :/

Constantine did say he would be in tonight. I wish I could see Savannah as Sherrie one time when I go. My friends have all really loved her performances.

Constantine was in tonight and Savannah Wise is covering Amy all weekend. and I to agree with the poster who said many think Savannah is better than Amy in the role of Sherrie, I'm definitely one of those people.

John Stamos came back to the show again tonight. He was there on Monday, too, but Constantine was out.

I'm assuming he came back to see Constantine in the show.

Two hot Greek guys!

It seems that Amy Spanger doesn't know how to manage her voice. I saw Rock of Ages very early in the run and she was sounding quite hoarse. I'm not surprised to hear about her absence problem, since she was also chronically out of The Wedding Singer a few years back. (Between her and Laura Benanti, Tina Maddigan and Cara Cooper must've been the two luckiest understudies on Broadway) Rock scores take a HUGE toll on your voice, especially when you aren't managing it properly...which seems to be the case here.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Amy Spanger rarely called out of Chicago or ticktickboom, and sounded great in both, especially the latter. don't tar her with this issue of always calling out as if its her M.O. or something.

I would count it as a blessing if I went to see ROA and Constantine and Amy Spanger were out.

I would count it as a blessing if you hadn't gone off the deep end impersonating your boyfriend to screw him out of work.
