Posted: 1/31/13 at 8:29ami think Queen Latifah understands being one-noted and have the same reactions and line delivery in every single thing she does.

I'm back to defend the sistah! :)
Queen Latifah is hilarious in BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE. She and Steve Martin make a very funny team.
As for Annie, let's simply be glad the wind has blown the Willow away.
ANd if James Earl Jones can basically play HArry S. Truman in "The Best Man", I can see Morgan Freeman as FDR.
Kidding, guys....

No Willow? Oh darn. I'll be crying into my pillow tonight.
Count me in on the 'Octavia Spencer for Hannigan' vote. And let's ask the really difficult question...who will play the Star to Be? :-p

It really is a hard-knock life.

These are the kind of hard knocks you deal with when you push your kids into the spotlight at a young age. I always thought it was gross the way Smith pere pimped his kids out.
Oh, and...Debra Wilson anyone?

Did anybody See Wanda when she played Hannigan at Pennsylvania's Media Theatre ?
I could certainly see Tichina Arnold, Octavia Spencer, and Wanda for Hannigan. i could also see Jenifer Lewis in a way. Audra Could maybe play Grace Again- she dosen't look much older.

I had no idea Martin Charnin hated the 1999 TV film as well. I thought that he would have liked it better since it was more closer to the musical.

I've always gotten the impression that Martin Charnin hates any version that he is not involved with, stage or screen.

I hope this happens. She was first choice for the part after Willow was no longer available.

Posted: 2/10/13 at 11:50amI figured as soon as Willow dropped out that little Quevenzhane Wallis would be at the top of the list, she's competing for a lead actress Oscar at the age of 9, which is insane. She also has the tough-as-nails quality that so many little girls who play Annie lack.

Yeah, some more information would be great. They'e being very vague as to what exactly the film is. Of course, it's still very early.
Once the ads start coming out it'll hopefully be a bit clearer.

Wha?

Posted: 1/21/14 at 9:15amShe was on the block when Willow was part of the project. When Willow left the project, so did she. I think it was one of those situations where you know it's not your job, but you hang in as long as you can hoping you'll at least get some money out of the deal.
