Well, everything has flaws, I would say Follies but it isn't half bad performance wise. Gee, this is tough. I don't think you'll get a lot of straightfoward answers on this one

only because it's so incomplete... the karaoke CD has all the songs that should have been on the OBC but it has no vocals...




this one took forever to grow on me, but I like it now...

Well, this is actually an OLC, but I find the Mamma Mia! recording absolutely horrendous, and wish they'd recorded an OBCR instead beause it's totally unbearable to listen to.

I've always been unhappy with the way they butchered "Dreamgirls" OBC. I'm sure there were others...

The off-key singing on the "Promises,Promises" OBC certainly makes it a contender.

But that Promises, Promises score is so fantastic, I can excuse how pitchy Jerry Orbach and some of the others are.

I vote for "Dreamgirls," since well over HALF the score is missing.

I take nothing away from the performances, but for an original cast recording of the show... this one is barely a ghost of what was on the stage.

I second the nomination for "The Wiz," as well. They took away about 4-5 songs, they did "pop" music fade-outs at the end of many songs, started the album with a few choruses of "Ease On Down the Road" (yet the show starts with an actual overture that is missing here), etc. This is (again) no reflection of the performances, just the album itself.

I love the score, but can't listen to the recording. I was really hoping for a recording of the Encores production. Oh well.

All Shook Up. I tried to listen, but I got a headache. I felt like my cd player was attacking me. I had a similar horrible experience when I listened to Brooklyn.

Awww...I love Two's Company. It's campy fun.

Lol BSoBW2. Oddly, a few people thought the pic was from Carrie. Oddly enough, I'd kill for a concert with Buckley as Mrs. White and Carolee as Carrie. hehe.
