PThespian said "You in no way have to attempt to justify yourself or explain anything to this idiot... ....of course I like you. I can honestly say I like everyone on this board. Why wouldn't I? No one has ever done anything to me."

All well and good, but at least own your words.

Advice was asked for. I've given mine. You've given yours.

Advice from a merch seller, bartender or usher would not be applicable in this matter. Know your place.

You'll forgive me if I think it's pretty funny that you've been here over 7 years, are still a swing and THIS is what you decided was worth investing 10 posts on. You gave your advice and should have left it at that after one post. The other 9 were you acting all butthurt cause someone didn't immediately accept your advice. In point of fact, you get 0% of your requests granted if you don't ask. They can just say no and she'll know at least she tried. No harm in that.

It's bad enough to give terrible advice. Worse to be indignant when it's not immediately taken. And for the record, telling someone to "know your place" and mocking someone's job is to me at least as offensive as calling someone an idiot especially to someone who's gone out of his way here to help people with questions about SOR.

Back to the op: only you can decide if it's worth it to try.  For me, it would not have been, I only went for my companion.  Pretty sure his opinion would have been otherwise.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Why would you think that means I hate you? I vehemently disagree with what you said and how you said. I feel it is severely misinformed being based on a conversation you weren't a part of.

Nonetheless I certainly don't dislike you.

Don't worry. You're still on my Christmas card list.

I can also see you're a sensitive guy who, unlike me, gets easily offended. It seems as though I've hurt your feelings.

I apologize. That certainly wasn't my intention.

Keep your christmas cards wrapped up with your disingenuous non-apologies.

Remember, you attacked me. All the self-righteousness in the world doesn't change it or relieve you of your poor manners.  Like me, hate me, do what you want. I don't care a whit. You called me an idiot because you didn't agree with me. I guess that's par for the course in the era of Trump.

Another genius heard from! What's it to you?

Your pal calls me an idiot, and you're upset that I was less than cordial in response to him? I guess that places your contributions to this thread in the proper context.

Well this blew up, hahaha.

Wanted to say that I decided it was worth switching for a handful of reasons, so I went to the Lyceum today and it was no problem. I was very nice about it, the lady working the box office was very nice about it, and she even said "you made the right call." To be fair, I'm sure since I came in yesterday first asking about a rush ticket, that she assumed money was my biggest priority; I should've spoken up then that I was willing to pay full price for mezzanine. Thank you to those who gave me your advice! I'm sure it would've been fine from the balcony, but I want to be able to see their faces better, it's the final performance, and I'm happy with my decision.

It was the same lady! I think there was no problem because I was willing to pay more, and also because she knows there'll be no trouble selling out those balcony tickets since it's the closing performance. She made a comment saying "welcome to the grownup prices," which made me laugh. I'm in my late 30s, so I guess I look younger than I am... :) (And it's not that she was in ANY way rude yesterday - just the opposite. I just think she was a little deceptive with her language. I think if something's partial view they should be obligated to use those words and be explicit about what the sight blockage is.)

And thank you - I'm really looking forward to it! I don't know Nick Kroll that well, but John Mullaney never fails to crack me up. Should be extra great in their final show.

No one was deceptive, except for you, for the excuses you proffered about why you wanted to exchange the ticket. Not to beat a dead horse, but explicit instructions about issues with the seat (sit up straight,) and stamping the ticket "Obstructed View" notwithstanding, the nature of your original purchase was as clear as day.

In any case, a happy ending for all concerned. Who could ask for anything more?

The only other person I've seen lately with such a ridiculous and absurdly intense need to constantly insist he was right even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary is Donald Tru.... hey, wait a minute, you're not..... alright quick, what's your twitter handle? What did you think of the SNL cold open last night?

I'm glad you were able to exchange it!!!

At the same time, she could have definitely said it was partial view, except you didn't hear it. Just offering a different perspective. Regardless, you got the tickets and seat you wanted so have fun!

Glad you've been following along, but your reading comprehension skills are somewhat lacking. The show's over, you can go back to your late night TV.
