36 next Friday. :) Had Xanadu started previews earlier, I would have done onstage for that. But I'm sitting in a splash seat for 110, which should still be great.
But yeah...when people find out I'm working on my second Masters, they're like "When did you start college? At 12?"

Thanks! Early happy birthday to you too! :)
Went there today.. the guy at the BO said they dont have anymore rush. So I got rush for Grey Gardens (front center orch!).
Anymore as in for today or has it been discontinued?
Ok. Just checking. :)
Wow and I was just about to leave too. Thanks for the heads up.
What time did you get there Curtains?
SH*T! I was planning on going by after work all day.
How can they not have any tickets if they don't go on sale until 6pm? Or is tonight already sold out...
I was there at around 12PM, and he said no rush for the night show too.
After trekking through the rain to the Helen Hayes theater I was informed that:
Due to the selling out of the next weeks of XANADU, Student Rush has been discontinued indefinitely. The only "cheap seats" available are the on-stage seating for $41.
stupid Stupid STUPID producers!!!
Now this isn't Grease, this is a new work, and if they'd like to take advantage of viral marketing, LET THE F***ING YOUNG PEOPLE IN FOR CHEAP AND IN TURN THEY WILL TELL ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS TO GO SEE IT!!!!!!

Grr. Oh well.
Well, guess I should have seen it sooner. Ugh. I don't want to sit on stage.
I would gladly sit on stage again but I can't afford $41 now.

The operative phrase is:
"Due to the selling out of the next weeks of XANADU."
How the hell do you expect them to have rush seats if there are no seats AT ALL?
Only... I just looked at tickets for the Sunday my parents are here just out of curiosity (my dad likes humor as much as anyone, but he'd feel like I'd wasted my money if I took them to see it) ~ that being July 22 ~ and there are like front row mezz tickets. So it's NOT sold out.

Oh, it wasn't directed at you specifically yankeefan007. More at the quote. Maybe they're anticipating it selling out, but it hasn't happened yet. Just seems kind of...well, if they're saying it's sold out when it's not, a lot of people won't bother looking. You know?
On top of which, a group of tickets should be set aside from some form of Lotto, Rush, Student Rush or SRO
It is something the producers and box office should have considered.
