i looove zanna don't! i never saw it, just love the cast album. i'd love to see it live one day!
Looove Zanna, Don't. One of my favorite shows ever. I'm going to the production of it in Los Angeles that starts tomorrow, I believe the company putting it on is West Coast Ensemble? Danny Calvert is going to be playing Zanna, and he's going to be fierce.
We just did Zanna Don't at Columbia University. Such a good show, and lots of fun.
I just started rehearsals for a production of Zanna, Don't! here in Omaha (I'll be playing Roberta). It's going to be so much fun and I'm really looking forward to the next two months. :)
I also love ZANNA, DON'T! The Bailiwick Repertory is producing the Chicago Premiere of the show this fall and I just got word very recently that I have been cast in the role of Zanna!!! I could not be more excited!
So, if any ZANNA fan will be in Chicago from September 26-November 9, you should check it out!!!
Yeah West Coast Ensemble is doing it right now in LA until the beginning of September and has two Altar Boyz from the Long Beach production in it. :)
The Speakeasy Stage Company is doing it in Boston next season. I'll have to check it out.

Yea, I'm also working on the Chicago premiere of ZANNA, DON'T (Assistant Director) and I can't wait to start rehearsals...it's such a fun show and we have a really great cast.

Ooh, I'll definitely have to see the Speakeasy production.
I love this show like hell and I'd really like to see what other directors do with it.

loooove the music and the story. i really want to see a production of it!
ps- has anyone seen xanadu? any good? i know the reviews are pretty good.. but i'd like b'wayworld opinion. =)
Xanadu sounds like Zanna Do...opposite of Zanna Don't...sorry, I'm tired.
dramaqueen2, a lot of us HATED Xanadu...
I had no idea Zanna Don't is so popular across the country, that's awesome.
dramaqueen2, and A LOT of us LOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEE Xanadu!
I happpen to be among those who LOVE both Xanadu AND Zanna, Don't.
Zanna Don't is one of my all time favourite shows
It's one of the first cast recordings I pump up whenever I feel blue. It just instantly puts a smile on my face
I definitely want to see the WCE of Zanna, Don't. I'm sure I'll get around to it.
hehe My best friend made me listen to the soundtrack on a road trip a few months ago. Such a ridiculous(ly fun!) premise and such great music, I loved it. Plus, I go to college up by Boston, so I might be able to catch the Boston company's performance of it!

Your friend made you listen to the original cast recording...there's no movie version of ZANNA, DON'T.

My roommate introduced me to Zanna when we were freshmen, and I instantly loved it. Unfortunately neither of us ever saw it on b'way, but we did end up finding a bootlegged performance online this year...and proceded to stay up until about 1 am watching it. I have not gotten a chance to see Xanadu yet, and I probably won't for a while unless my school runs a trip (since on a college budget I can only see so much and the next few months are filled with return trips to Spring Awakening and Rent. My school does run a trip to b'way once a month though, so maybe this year they won't return to the same shows they've beenseeing and will go see something new like Xanadu.
(note...I did NOT mean to rhyme there...)

Ride 'em YEAH! Ride 'em YEAH!
I really want to see Xanadu!
I too saw it a few weeks ago from a bootie.
Now I'm hooked too.
I love the music...kind of hooked anyway i literally have looked everywhere and am guessing the sheet music was never released which sucks because I love some of the songs for auditions.
Who in Boston is doing Zanna Don't???? I'll be there in a heartbeat!
SpeakEasy Stage. They have an unusually gay season coming up: Zanna Don't, Some Men, The Little Dog Laughed, The History Boys and, oddly, The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
I love everything they do. They're a fabulous company!
Hi,
I saw Zanna seven times. One of the Producers is a Producer on Spring Awakening. That Producer has the best taste.
Zanna Don't would have been the perfect role for John TAGS.
SOMEDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
