Year of Magical Thinking or Chicago with Bebe?

I have time to see 4 shows: PIRATE QUEEN, CURTAINS, BEAUTY & THE BEAST (never saw it, need to catch before it closes), and a fourth show. I had planned on seeing CHICAGO with Bebe (I never saw this show and I figure it'd be good to see it with Bebe). But I just discovered YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING begins previews the day before I leave.

Advice?

Thanks!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I've sadly never seen Vanessa Redgrave live, so I would choose Year of Magical Thinking.

No contest. Go with Redgrave.

Most of us have seen Chicago, and I think is worth seeing. But chances are you can catch it somewhere else at some point - so Magical Thinking.
Listen, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is "artistic". - JANICE

I'd definitely go with The Year of Magical Thinking. I like Bebe and all, but the whole idea of her playing Roxie does nothing for me, personally. Plus, Redgrave is not to be missed. Did you see the revival of Long Day's Journey into Night? If not, then you should definitely make a point to see Redgrave on stage this time around.
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Mmes. Redgrave and Didion, for sure.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body
