Encores production of Sweet Adeline. Dorothy Loudon singing the song about her husband's first wife was such a gem and it's hard to find a recording of that song.
Cyndi Lauper singing 'The Solomon Song' was one of my favorite moments in theater.

Networks Production of RNH's Cinderella with Eartha Kitt, Jamie Lynn Sigler, and Paolo Montalbon. Lippa's new arrangements were thrilling and fun. And the cast was simply Magical.
Via Galactica
Carrie - OBC
Sweeney Todd - 1989 Revival
Sunset Boulevard - Betty Buckley & John Barrowman
In My Life
Hairspray - London
Our House - London
Buddy - OBC
Wicked - London (Kerry Ellis)
Anyone Can Whistle as mentioned, though if JAY would release their recording I could be appeased. I know some on here hate it, but I wish the plan to do a recording of Menken/Ashman's God Bless You Mr Rosewater had happened.
I would love a Wicked (LA cast) with Megan Hilty, Eden Espinosa and Carol Kane
The Encores productions of Lady in the Dark, Pardon My English, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and Fanny.

I haven't heard those particular arrangements, but I'm not surprised to hear that. Andrew Lippa's talent as an arranger outstrips his talent as a composer. Actually, if I have to try and articulate this better, it's not actually the composition that is problematic; it is the manner in which he conceives the score that is often out of step with the story he's telling.

Those JAY recordings either seem to be great or a complete wash. While one would hope that ANYONE CAN WHISTLE falls into the former category, there are so many question marks around this recording for me, particulary in regard to the casting. It certainly would be great to have the full score, which is one of the huge points in favour of many of the JAY recordings, but I would have preferred having the Encores! or even the Ravinia cast singing the material than Maria Friedman, Julia McKenzie and John Barrowman.
As previously mentioned, I'd love all Encores productions recorded. (Especially Whistle, Applause and On A Clear Day)
NY Phil Company w/ NPH & My Fair Lady w/ Kelsey Grammer.
Merman in Dolly
Stritch in Call Me Madam (That's a "Pipe Dream" alright)
Dorothy Loudon and George Hearn's Sweeney Todd
LuPone in Night Music at Ravinia
There is a soundboard floating around of Dear World from Austrailia with Maureen McGovern.
& I'll be bludgeoned for saying this, but the revival of On A Clear Day... Just to have another recording of some of those songs.
Encores! Music in the Air
Encores! Where's Charley?
Marin and Jason in NEXT TO NORMAL - Also, I really wish Brian would have been able to stay with the cast to Broadway so his Dan could have been preserved on the OBCR. Not a big fan of J Robert Spencer, who felt like he was doing a watered down version of Brian's performance.
Jason Alexander and Martin Short in THE PRODUCERS
The Apple Tree revival (I'm still really surprised this never happened)
Harrigan 'n Hart. Oh my god, how I wish this had a recording. Mark Hamill, Christine Ebersole and Harry Groener.
Odd one, but, I was always disappointed that The Big Voice: God or Merman? never got an official recording.
I thought the entire closing cast of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST should have had a live recording for Anneliese van der Pol, Donny Osmond and John Tartaglia.

Lestat- What a great score. Carolee Carmelo and Hugh Panaro were amazing. Loved this show and was so disappointed it didn't last and get a recording.
