I am totally and completely in love with this musical (despite the fact that I've never technically seen it). The music is wonderful, the characters are interesting, and from a structural standpoint it's brilliant. My love for it is consuming me right now.

ooo man this is hard, ive narrowed it down to two, even though im not supposed to name the runner-up, i have to at least mention rent...
les miz is my favorite though, i was raised on it, it brought me to musical theater the first time i heard "little people" because i was a very little person at the time i think it may just be the closest thing to perfection broadway has ever produced

Still thinking....Scott Nevins, will you please help me out?
I want so much to say RENT, but I can't. CATS was the first musical I ever fell in love with, and it will always be my favorite. It just makes me so happy.
Hmmm...this is a tough one..... RENT!
That is my final answer!

I can't believe there are this many posts and I am the first to say his favorite is the longest running Broadway musical ever, A Chorus Line.

Les Miserables is one of two musicals that have changed my life. I have never loved anything more.
Les Miserables without a doubt.

Just one...West Side Story, even though I've never seen it on Broadway, but hopefully I will next year! :)
Dance of the vampires! I love this play!
I am torn between a few but my all time favorite was the 1965/66 musical "It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Superman". Great cast & fun score. I saw the show 5 or 6 times. It was mindless fluff that was just good, clean fun. It had no pretentions of being anything other than an enjoyable show. You forgot all your cares & just enjoyed yourself. Why it did not succeed, I will never know

Hmm, I'd have to say Les Miz is the best show I've ever seen - of course I was there opening night, and it was never better.
But as far as productions go, "Nine" gets it hands down. The first time around and this time ... saw it with Antonio FOUR times, once in the front row .... ahhhhhh, heaven!
