re: Your Favorite TRIO of Performers in a Musical ?

I believe the poster meant that alot of the people being named in this thread are just three performers from a show that do not operate as a unit (or "trio") on stage.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

How many shows have (3) people that operate as a "unit/trio" on stage? I am trying to think of a few right now, and its very difficult to come up with that many.

OH, and the "Two Ladies" trio from Cabaret.
And I know I didn't name specific performers except for the Leading Ladies.
One more, "You Gotta have a Gimmick" from Gypsy.

I forgot:

The strippers in Gypsy
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

re: Your Favorite TRIO of Performers in a Musical ?

Christine Ebersole, Mary Louise Wilson, Erin Davie-Grey Gardens
(Bob Stillman could go into Erin's slot, but I just thought she totally grew into her role so well and she has the hardest job aside from Ms. E.)
