Jeez there are so many I forgot from like Loesser (love H2$ and Guys and Dolls) to Rupert Holmes, Bernstein, the great Richard Adler because Damn Yankees rocks like a boulder and Lucy Simon because The Secret Garden is amazing! But Sondheim is still my fave, even tho that was hard to pick who exactly my fav was. tough choice!

Alberto Ginastera (Danzas argentinas are the most incredible piano pieces writting IMO)

Posted: 4/11/05 at 12:43amI can't believe no one has mentioned Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, or Schumann. Wow. These are the true masters of song. Music theatre owes much to these talented composers. And of course their music is on my favorites list...which is why I list them here.
