Mine was Phantom as well- but I saw it at the Pantages up in Toronto.
However, I just remember walking in there and feeling awed. Definitely would love to see the stage show again (but will have to live with the movie for now)

My first show- Les Miserables tour when I was 5 (no joke... I already knew all the music at age 5)
My first show on Broadway- Beauty and the Beast when it first opened... so I guess that was 1994, right?

Phantom of the Opera.
I was four and so proud of myself because I went just me and my dad (leaving mom and bro at my grandparents' house) and you had to be at least five to see the show :) . I have vivid memories from that night...
I remember someone drove the two of us into the city from my granparents home in New Rochelle. I also remember having really great seats in center orchestra and loving it, though I don't remember too much more from that first time besides the chandelier falling and the fire that appears onstage, along with the occasional bit of setting or characters here and there--like the mirror...
(I saw it again a few years later with my mom and brother, too, so sometimes I can't tell if certain memories are from that second performance I saw... but I know the fire, chadelier definitely are from that first time)
I definitely remember being in the foyer at my house with Music of the Night playing over the speakers here and there in the house, dancing and singing... (and I was never an extroverted kid/ wouldn't probably plan on becoming an actor--I'm the directing type with the innards of an actor, heh--... it was just always my favorite song and now has that childhood memory quality attached to it...)
They do say 'Remember your first time..." :)
