No, I mean I actually found MY playbill from when I saw her in Big River, but I dont remember her in the show.
Kelly in Wicked...I dunno. She sounded the best she ever sounded on the AI christmas special, but I dont think she could pull it off regularly.
Nah, Kelly coudn't do Wicked, I don't think she could act wel enough, altho I do like her. And I LOVE Clay, I hope he decides to do theatre one day, cause don't you think he could do Lost in the Wilderness(the Darius DeHaas version) brilliantly?

Does anyone else find American Idol kind of pointless? It seems like the people who do well on the show can't get away from the stigma of being on it. It's hard to accept someone as a real star when they were voted the winner of a reality show. Kelly's had trouble getting away from it and it doesn't help that like the first video she had off her latest album had clips from princess diaries 2 in it (thus connecting her to another franchise instead of just letting her be herself). I wonder how much longer American Idol will go on.
Yes, they can't get away from the show. BUT, without it, they would not have the careers they have now. Kelly Clarkson would still be jumping from one part-time job to the next.
As for the PD2 thing, her song was featured in the film. That's why the scenes were in her video. Most videos of songs featured in films are done that way anyway.

Yes, I'm aware it was in the film. I still don't think it was the best idea for her career.

I love Fantasia! "I broke my shoe!" That was so cute!
I had to leave the room when Ruben started singing "Youll never..." if youd even call it "singing".
Give the good songs a break!
Really? Why do you think so?
Personally, I don't see any bad publicity one can get out of having a song featured in a film like that. Aerosmith did that one song for Armageddon. The lead singer of Nickleback did that song (Hero?? Don't remember) for Spiderman. If I remember correctly, it got an Oscar nomination for best song.
I said it once and I shall say it again.
FANTASIA SOUNDS LIKE MACEY GREY ON CRACK!!!
Kelly in Wicked?!?! I'm assuming none of you were the very few people to see From Justin to Kelly! i saw it on HBO, and there was NO talent showing what so ever!
But i do love clay!
and i HATE ruben!
and by the way, why do the judges consider "Too broadway" to be a bad thing? they act like a broadway singer cant be an american idol.
I really don't like FAntasia's voice. I really liked Jennifer Hudson and she should have won. And Jasmine and Diana or whatever their names were should have not been part of the bottom 3. But I think the actual show is kind of stupid. I think the only good part of hte show is when they show the people that can't sing at all... but really think they can.
Clay & Kelly aren't bad singers... I guess

THANK YOU! My American Idol is Idina. I say they should have a Broadway themed night. Manypeople can sing into a computerlike Britney Spears, but it takes talent to be on Broadway.

I TOTALLY agree! And LaToya Jakson from last season was the only one on there with talent! We need that girl on Bway RIGHT NOW! That girl can SING!!! Unlike Fantasia(SP?) who... does what ever she does. Whatever it is, it's NOT singing! And about the Macy Greay on crak thing, MG ALWAYS sounds like shes druged up! I HATE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lytmycandyl- I LOVE your icon thingy!

Well, most Broadway singers couldn't...it's just a different style. Second of all, many people tend to have the impression that Broadway is very cheesy, overdramatic, overacted, unrealistic, impassionate entertainment. There are plenty of Broadway performers and shows that fit right in with that description.
Not only that...think of the most well-known musicals. The Sound of Music, shows like 42nd Street, etc...it's not exactly a hip, young, "edgy" style that's going to sell.
That's what's wrong with being "too Broadway."
I would love to see how some of the contemporary sounding singers on Broadway would do on that show though(the Idinas, Shoshanas, etc).
