Really? I though Kelsey Grammer's looked real. Then again, I was sitting third to last row of the orchestra.
And definetly Chad Kimballs.
Wait, why did I even click on this thread about wigs? hahaha

#11best wigs in a production
Posted: 7/29/10 at 3:44amI thought Bernadette didn't wear a wig, and if she does, what a waste of money, it looks just like her hair!!!! And if it is a wig, yeah it is a great wig!

Posted: 7/29/10 at 5:01amNo it apparently it is a wig. A wig is easier to keep styled and consistent, and hold microphones etc.

It's a wig based off her real hair. People would be greatly disappointed to see her in CJZ's brown wig :)
As qolbinau said its much easier to put a wig on someone than to style their hair so perfectly day after day.

I would have been impressed to see Peters with a transformative wig, NOT disappointed.
Christine's wig in Phantom (well...at least the current version) in the NY production is just gorgeous.
Maria Friedman's in THE WOMAN IN WHITE (Broadway).
LuPone's in Broadway Gypsy.

Agreed - Maria Friedman's Marian Halcombe wig in Woman in White looked fantastic.
Brandi Burkhardt's Lucie Mannette in A Tale of Two Cities (a couple of wigs actually)
Linda Eder's Lucy in Jekyll & HYDE on Broadway
Douglas Sills in The Scarlet Pimpernel

I remember a video of Kelli O'Hara cutting her hair for the revival of "South Pacific." She looked gorgeous with her long hair, so why cut it when they give you a great wig? Huh? Fair enough, she looked stunning in the wig as well!
How about Ashmeret Ghebremichaels wig in "Legally Blonde" thought it looked amazing, and was quite surprised when she had a tiny "fro" at the stagedoor (even though that looked great too!)
