Well, in I want to say 2012 or so, Pete Townshend sold his entire catalogue of songs written for The Who to Spirit Music Group a boutique music publishing company. Now, I don’t know if Pete selling the catalogue of all songs he wrote for The Who to them could impact any future recording. But, it should be worth pointing out that Ingrid Michaelson is also on the roster of Spirit Music Group’s artists as well. And, we did get a cast album of The Notebook. Like I said, for all I know this could mean nothing as it relates to making a cast album of the Tommy revival.

I’ve seen some folks on Reddit claim that the TOMMY cast has already recorded, but I can’t imagine why on earth they haven’t announced the release yet. Seems like now would be the time to do it?
