Is anyone ever just gonna let that stuff I said go? I may have meant it that day but my mood changes. I don't feel that way anymore, and please don't use my past posts against me. Can you just PLEASE move on and treat me equal to everyone else on here? This is supposed to be a fun place for theatre nerds to chat about Broadway, not be mean to eachother. There is too much of that in the world anyway, this should be a type of "safe haven", if you will. sending cruel PM's like "you need to drown" is absolutely despicable and no one appreciates it, especially the one recieving it, and it really hurts my feelings. please can we just get along and not judge eachother or get mad at one another for not liking a show?? Thank you <333

Not liking a show is the least of it.

If you don't piss people off anymore, then they won't hold your past posts against you.

Thanks, MMC. re: current events....

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Lizzya9,

It's fine to have opinions. No opinion is right or wrong. And opinions change.

My advice to you is this: know that everything you say and do in life can be used for and/or against you. Whatever you say or do in public: make sure it's important enough to you to make public.

And finally, it is ignorant to have an opinion on a show in which you have not seen. If you have listened to its CD, then you can have an opinion on just the music outside of the context of the show, and when you share your opinions on it, make sure the receiver knows where you are coming from in that respect.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Lizzy, have you seen SPRING AWAKENING yet? If you have seen it and you still don't like it, that is absolutely fine and you are entitled to have that opinion. If you HAVEN'T seen it, you have absolutely no business bashing it publicly because you have no frame of reference, no first hand knowledge and therefore no credibility. That said, using PMs to threaten someone is terrible and should be brought to the attention of the moderators, who I'm sure know about it now anyway.

Lizzy,

Your posts are very poorly constructed if your posts are really based on "the moment." You must, I can only conclude, have a very poor grasp on the skills necessary to effectively use the English language. Using words like "anymore" and "now I no longer" allude to a newfound permanence in beliefs, not temporary.

Here's an example:

"I extremely dislike Lea Michele. I liked her at first and even bought the cast recording, but last night I was listening to a podcast with her...and she was absolutely terrible. She insulted films that have been brought to Broadway, Disney Broadway musicals, the upcoming Shrek, and jukebox musicals. And she dropped an F-bomb....I mean I really hate the entire musical now because of her... "

That last sentence...the first sentence! You made a STATEMENT... That doesn't seem like an imbalanced thought, but a new found (and altogether weakly founded) opinion.

Lizzy, I'll just say this, starting this thread did not help you.

Why did you start this thread? You're not defending yourself at all, and you're not apologizing, so please don't waste the black pixels! (does anybody have the link for that by the way?)

Lizzy - Everything on a public forum like this is anonymous - people who say mean things to you don't know you - but e-mails and board posts live forever, so don't memorialize something you might not want associated with you at a later date.

I thought this thread was about the play "Current Events"....apparently it's just another Lizzya thread.

I think ThanksToPhantom said it all for me. I loved their formatting especially!

Why should Lea's opinion on something make you not like the show?! Get over it. She's allowed to have her own opinion. Whether or not you agree with it....and to now dislike a show because of it seems childish to me. For example: Say you were in 1st grade....Jenny (random name) doesn't like (insert favorite Disney movie here) so you don't like her because of it. Childish!!!

OKAY, FOR THE LAST TIME, I DO NOT MEAN WHAT I SAID ABOUT LEA ON MY PAST POSTS!! how many times must i repeat it??!!!?!??!?!?! i was in a bad mood that day, OKAY!?!?! people have moods. my mind changes. GET OVER IT! move on. STOP holding my past posts against me and treat me like everyone else. what I post is not written in stone. i don't mean it forever. it's just at that moment. i don't not like SA because of lea. i have not seen SA but what I have (videos, listened to cast recording) i don't like it so far. who cares? you don't get mad at people for not liking other shows that they haven't seen, so don't get mad at me for not liking what i know about this show so far. i am not saying it's a bad show, because I have not seen it. I am just saying that what i have seen and heard of it, i don't like it so for. SHEESH! please just move on with your lives and treat me equal. don't live in the past, live in the NOW!

I rest my case. Look who repeated something from their past posts and apparently, STILL means it.

EDIT:

Oh, well nevermind. It says "don't not like". I completely misinterpreted. I apologize, it just wasn't very clear. Updated On: 3/14/07 at 07:42 PM

yep. unfortunately, honey, what you've done here is open yourself up yet again for a barrage of abuse.

its like someone saying " i'm really sorry. lets forget it ever happened. no really, i'm not kidding, lets forget it. i mean, i hardly ever think about it these days. so its buried. never speak about it again. but while we're on the subject...."

my advice is to avoid SA topics whereever possible, post about other things (while thinking about how what you say and how you say it can be interpreted), and let it blow over by letting it die!

there, my fairy godmother duties are done for the day.
