Do you believe any of these shows will mount a national tour after their broadway run, based on feedback, reviews and sales to date?

It Shoulda Been You won't tour. An American in Paris probably will. The other two I'm not sure.

Whoever wins the year's Tony Best Musical. The winners in the last 10 years have been to Des Moines, IA the year after they won. I don't expect that trend to stop. But we'll need to wait till June

"Honeymoon" may tour as "Bullets Over Broadway" currently is - immediately with a non-Equity tour sold mostly to markets with heavy subscriber bases.

Definitely American in Paris. I'd love it if On The Town toured but not sure how likely that is.

I was thinkin on the town would be iffy given the sales numbers in NY.
it seems like it would be a great classic musical to take on the road, especially with the glowing NYT review...

On The Town could also tour using the exact same set from Broadway. The current could easily tour.

I think it'll most likely launch a national tour during the 2016-17 season just as Newsies did with waiting another season before launching their national tour earlier this season in order to maintain an international reputation.

The Aladdin tour is scheduled to start in Sept. 2016. They're focusing on opening the show in the West End first, then they start the tour.

I have gotten spoiled with the original Broadway productions. When I have seen the touring productions, they just seem to be weak copies. (I live in Chicago-- especially thinking of "Evita"). BOM in Chicago might have been good but the Giant Head family was sitting in front of us, and besides their Giant Heads, they had Fluffy Hair and binoculars which they like to wave around in my line of sight just as I was able to lean over and see some of the production.
Although I must say the most fun I had in a Chicago production was "Rock of Ages" done by a non-equity cast. They must have been mostly college kids or just out of school, you could tell they were having a GREAT TIME and really sold it. The Chicago critic sniffed, though, because it was non-equity.

I'd love to see OTT and American in Paris both tour at some point, which I'm sure they will….hopefully! Those are the two I'd see again, for sure, if they hit L.A.

I'm not sure the typical touring subscriber audience would "get it," but I'd love for this to happen; JCM even mentioned in an interview I watched that it would be. It seems less likely now with not even a date in LA being announced, though.

While that's been the case since LCT's win for South Pacific in 2008, I believe Company and a few of the winners who closely precede it like Roundabout's Pajama Game disprove that theory. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Hedwig is an entirely different entity than the revivals that have toured in recent years, which is why I don't see it as being as cut and dry as coming down to having won the Tony for Best Revival.

yes, for most of the 2000s, the best musical revival winner didn't tour. 2002-2004(Into the Woods, Nine, Assassins) & 2006-2008(Pajama Game, Company & South Pacific). Plus I don't remember if the '05 revival of LA CAGE toured either, so that would technically be 7 years straight the best musical revival didn't tour.
I think the last New Musical that didn't tour was CONTACT.

South Pacific did tour Carmen was Nellie
A production based on the 2008 Broadway revival opened at the Barbican Theatre in London on August 15, 2011 and closed on October 1, 2011.[97] Sher again directed, with the same creative team from the Broadway revival. Szot and Welsh National Opera singer Jason Howard alternated in the role of Emile, with Samantha Womack as Nellie, Ables Sayre as Bloody Mary and Alex Ferns as Billis. The production received mostly positive reviews.[98] A U.K tour followed, with Womack, Ables Sayre and Ferns.[99]
A U.S. national tour based on the 2008 revival began in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Theatre on September 18, 2009. Sher directed, and the cast starred Rod Gilfry (Emile) and Carmen Cusack (Nellie).[100] The Sher production was also produced by Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House from August to September 2012 and then at Princess Theatre, Melbourne through October 2012.
