i'm just sad that declan bennett is no longer playing roger, i saw him twice and loved him. who were y'alls favorite roger?

Adam had real passion and a great vocal when i saw him in it when it 1st opened.
I also thought Luke Evans from Rent Remixed was fantastic, his performance was heartbreaking, and powerful, wish we could have seen him in the real Rent

Posted: 5/8/08 at 3:23pmIts hard to pick I really liked all the Roger's I have seen...but my favorite's in order would have to be Adam Pascal, Declan Bennet, Tim Howar, and Kyle Post...They were all very good in the role of Roger...Though some did over play the character like Tim Howar did but it was a different take on Roger and I liked that. Declan was also very good, I didn't mind his accent slipping in and out but the people i went with did..lol

Also saw Bryce Ryness but he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the list with those other guys.
I took a 7-year break from RENT after seeing Luther and Cary, so it may not be a fair comparison...
EDIT: I changed my list cause I totally forgot about Heinz Winckler. Which is weird cause he was the most recent Roger that I saw and I did enjoy him.

i second the pascal/kushnier sentiment
saw both.
adam in 1997. and jeremy.. in.. um. 2004 i think
regardless both brought something amazing to that role that i can't describe.
anything you do let it come from you and it will be new.

I've only seen Adam Pascal so I guess I will say him...lol.
I did see Heinz Winkler on the tour and he was good also.
